The post hurricane messes in both New England and Louisiana demonstrate the tragic extent to which people have become utterly dependent on a government nanny state to care for them.
There is nothing compassionate about allowing people, or encouraging people, to be so dependent on any outside source of strength or sustanance. Sooner or later that outside source is going to fail somehow. The "compassionate" liberals have created an entire group of adults who cannot provide fortheir most basic necessities for a week without a government handout.
