It costs about $20,000.00 to install a new well, plumbing, and a septic system here in mohave county. The city of kingman is only charging $1400.00 to hook up to the city water and sewage system. Clearly the current rate payers are subsidizing these new hook ups by having the current rates raised to new outragous highs. Let's increase the city up rate to reflect the actual cost of a new rural install so that we can reduce our monthly rates. New developements need to pay for the new sewer system as they are what caused all the problems in the first place. What do you think Kingman?

In my own opinon that water company should do their job right. I'm pretty sure that they are charging people for no reason. They said they were supposed to fix our water and never did because they informed newspaper last year that water is still unsafe.. Come on water company.

Nah, what they had to fix was the over loaded septic plant. water is just fine, they pump it into the tanks up on the hills and then to the houses. The local contractors were not charged any septic fees to hook up to the existing septic system and of course the thing overloaded. Now everyone has to pay for the new plant. The new $100 bills are tough but they are still lower than many Cali city bills.
