Its funny no one should be arrested.....why do we make a big deal out of such harmless things but then let dangerous criminals off easy

It's a sick joke. I would have placed the culprits in the center of town in their best swimwear in pools filled with cooking oil and vegetables and holding signs reading, "We're sorry." (Even the cop should have to do something publicly embarrassing like this.)

Prank, no harm...childish prank...but police officer should have known better...I don't know if I would want him "protecting" me or my property. Maturity leveled questionable.

Way to blow things way out of proportion...Local town politics dictate when a high school prank gets prosecuted...Trespass at worst is what was committed...No intent on committing a burglary here...With the lack of funding in the court system to believe we are wasting money on any of this is rediculous...Tell the reporters to ask those pushing this case what pranks they did in their days???

Can anybody get through life without breaking the law? Getting caught is a different story but everybody has or will break the law. This was a smalltown prank like something you see on Brady Bunch, Leave it to Beaver, My Three Sons, Happy Days, or Hogans Heroes, McCall's Navy, MASH.....
The charges will not stick and should the defendants acccept a plea bargain as opposed to a Trial by Jury I will be very disappointed. Reduce the charges; let them keep their future.

Get a life Jeff. When I was a kid the most they would do when everyone stopped laughing was make the kids clean up any mess that was made. These are things you think back on as good memories when you get older.

Unfortunatly everyone's so uptight nowadays that we can't even take time to laugh at a joke. Instead we opt to look for someone's feelings that got hurt over a politically incorrect slip or to find out if there were any laws that they might have violated that we can throw at them.

Laugh once in a while and then spend the rest of the time going after the real bad guys.

Why a goat? This is really random and I must admit, not very creative. The former officer is an dummy for helping.

They purchased the goats?

In my day we would have stolen the goats and a few chickens too!

If anyone else helped them, they would have been arrested.

Wow...other than the kids breaking into school cant see the crime here...they should have just brought the goat during school hours...poor judgement on the part of the cop but not sure it consitutes a crime...

I saw the Mount Dora police allow a drunk driver on the road the other day...the kid was very drunk and should not have been driving...that officer should lose his job...endangering the public...now that was criminal.

I cannot believe that he would jeopardize his career for a bunch of kids. I guess that shows that he have never grown up his self. And he is suppose to serve and protect MMmmmmmm

Useless huh, maybe this guy made a bad choice. Police officers know better. This man knew better. But to say "even small town cops are useless" is pure crap. Because when you are in trouble real trouble you want them to help. And they risk everything everyday they work. Their family doesn't even know if he will come home everyday after work. I know you can get killed doing anything but they put themselves in the middle of some crazy stuff. So maybe you should consider the fact that you have not lost someone in your life that was in Law Enforcement but they fight the war here in the USA everyday.

A real zinger....coming from someone that lives in Crime Hills.

Cut the kids some slack..... have them clean up the mess... I did far worse in school... Then at a reunion was told by the assistant principal how funny it was..... Our bureaucrats have lost their collective sense of humor.
