Candy Spiegel: Don't take wrong turn on interchange
Once upon a time, long before Meijer, Home Depot and Elder-Beerman came to the Howell area, Latson Road was known only for the school that sits on it.

Candy, thank you for endorsing the Latson Road interchange with compelling, factual data. I have watched this topic come and go for years and am amazed over the debate when, to me, the need is clear and obvious.
I have two married children in Howell, one along the Latson corridor, so travel that way often. Yes, the area has grown, but imagine the commercial potential with a fully-functional link to I-96. And considering the growth potential both east and west, it would seem everyone in Brighton and Howell would support a new interchange. And the timing is perfect! When it is finished, the economy will likely be recovering and the Latson area could be well-positioned to attract new businesses to the Howell/Brighton area.
I truly hope those in power make the decision to proceed. Letís capitalize on the opportunity and make it happen! Warm Regards, Susan
