The wife had to be somewhat nuts herself to put herself and her child in harm's way by riding with him. There are plenty of other options.

It was last Tuesday when this happened and it's just now on the news. Must have been one heck of a busy news week to wait almost a week to tell us about it. Great Job news8.
Now shouldn't the man have been dead at 4 times the legal limit. Isn't that alcohol poisoning, What was wrong with the mother? That should be drunk driving, and child endangerment and child abuse. What a LOCO.

I have seen people walking and talking (and driving) at a .51 BAC, all depends on their long time built up tolerance.

And so it begins ... the righteous Grand Rapidians are once again condemning people they don't know without knowing the facts or understanding the situation. Stop the assault on the mom - nowhere does it say she knew he had anything to drink. Maybe she thought he had 1 drink and had no idea it was more. Maybe he drinks regularly, in which case he'd be more "normal" with alcohol in his system than without! My point is ... stop condemning people when you don't know the situation, please.

I have no idea what was up with the mom and so have nothing to say about her.

I am regularly amazed at the people here in GR that think they are perfect, above everyone else, know everything, and have the right to sit in judgement of others. Just wait until the real judgement day!!

Why don't stick to the topic. I am so sick of everything being turned to Granholm. Not everything in this state revolves around her.

.33 is a very high level for a normal person, but if he is an alcoholic, or someone who can handle lots of alcohol in his system, he could have been somewhat ok....

It doesn't say she was with him willingly...

Lots of things could have led her to being in that vehicle with him. This article was terribly lacking in details.

It doesn't even state that he was charged or how it is that he was pulled over.

Perhaps we should wait for details before we judge her.

Most women would stop this before their child was in harms' way... shouldn't the police be looking into whether she was an abused woman? If he's making choices like this one, chances are good that he's made other very poor choices. Get that woman in a safe house!

Average Joe just because someone is from outside of Grand Rapids you think that they are hillbillies? Get a clue! Just because people choose to live outside of the CRAZY city life doesnt make them hillbillies!
