This physician is irresponsible and should not be allowed to practice psychotherapy. Do your research before committing to a certain therapist. Also, it is very important that any consumer of psychotherapy be aware of the boundaries that are set in place to protect the patient ( as well as the physician)
I regret the day i walked into his office and thank God for the strength that enabled me to leave ! I am presently in a healthy, safe, and contained therapeutic relationship. Best of luck.

Danny Brener is very devoted, committed, and will make time for you at anytime and on any day. Morning , noon or nighttime. I wish i had more money so that i could be in therapy with him forever.. for the rest of my life! He is my compass now. He says i have a "reaction formation" but i sincerely adore him.
If you have unlimited resources, this is the psychiatrist for you!

Dr. Brener is an outstanding psychotherapist who is dedicated to his work and to his patients.

He is honorable, generous, and gentle.

I am grateful for his care.

What is so honorable about encouraging excessive appointments, demonstrating very blurred and questionable boundaries, and discussing other patients, i.e. breach of trust? I used to hold similar feelings of trust and affection towards Dan Brener, but after many years of frequent visits, i painfully learned that he in fact did not have my best interests at heart.
My therapy was terminated abruptly, with cruel disregard. It was outrageous and is not considered to be good practice for obvious reasons.
I can only pray that your experience is positive and that he will foster independence, not dependence on him. Psychotherapy requires trust in the therapist. Mine was betrayed. I hope you will have a different experience.

Your adoration or idolization of your therapist is quite evident. The fact that you want to be in therapy with him "forever" is just what he wants. Your money. Your love or whatever else HE needs.
Do not give your psychotherapist all of your power. There is a power differential inherent n the therapist- patient relationship. Be careful, therapists have their own baggage and if they lose their way, your "compass" will steer you in the wrong direction.

Dr Brener is a top psychiatrist - the doctor to other doctors. I have been his patient for several years now. He is kind but also firm, and is so smart he is able to handle even well defended doctors like myself. Psychiatric insight can be painful, but it is also the key to health. Highly recommend.
