it seems the new sheriff is trying to cut the budget by putting the inmates on a starvation diet
the inmates may not be the most upstanding citizens, but they are entitled to he government standard of calories per day.

It's not the Holiday inn with a continental breakfast. Peanut butter sandwich, milk, fruit and vegetable plus all the water you want and there a govt required meal. Now the sheriff cuts his budget hires more road deputies . You don't like the service keep you nose clean and you won't have to worry . Problem solved

Maybe you can donate some additional money to feed these poor inmates. They need to do the right thing and stay out of jail. It is not a country club. I hope they are rot in there.

Give the Sheriff a chance, he is working hard to get his chief deputy major salary. Already hired two Jones clansmen, paying campaign promises can and will haunt you.

Has anybody read the police blotter they publish in the Houston Herald? Our county sheriff’s department is lucky to respond to two calls a day. The accompanying incarceration report shows that they don’t make many more arrests either. If you take out the ones serving court imposed sentences, warrants issued, allow for local municipality arrests, and then Highway Patrol arrests they probably don’t average two a day. What have all the deputies been doing? Why do we need more? Hopefully the new administration will be more effective than the last in investigations and arrests.

Who is now in the courtroom that doesn't need to be in charge of anything? Which Jones clansmen has he hired? Why don't you sit back and give James a chance to show what he can and will do? He's barely had time to get his feet wet in his new role as sheriff. Good grief! He's been a good law enforcement officer for years. If you think you can do better, get POST certified and run for office.(No, I wasn't a James supporter--but I did become one after Tim lost his run for office.)

First off I said responded to, not answered, there is a big difference. I'm all for giving the new sheriff a chance and am in now way criticizing him. In fact the numbers I quoted were based on past performance. However based on the only public record available these nubmers are correct and if that is the case I hardly see the need for more deputies unless these numbers doe increase.

We have much vandalism where I live. Under the old sheriff(I dolike CarlPersonally and respect him)
when vandalism was reported they did not evenlike tohear the complaint. Under Sigman' watch, I reported vandalism and the complaine was extremely well received. A world of difference in the attitudes of Sheriff Dept employees now! Sigman will do much good. It takes time to undo old problems. Regarding food in jail: taxpayers were being scammed under the Rule of Melissa Dunn, who had to assume duties when Carl became ill.Steps are underway to provide good food at lower cost to
taxpayers. when are in jail, you only deserve a subsistence diet. Do no crime and you will not have a problem.!!!!.
We needed Sigman

Daily Horoscope for May 22

Gemini

Beware wishful thinking because it will cloud your thoughts and lead to confusion. However, that's much easier said than done, because today you're showing distinct tendencies towards living in a rosy world of your own and ignoring any hard facts that are under your nose. Take care that you don't allow someone to dupe you simply because you aren't paying attention to what they're saying or doing.
