Redistricting could cost region representation in Santa Fe
Southern New Mexico legislators say they will work together to try to make sure that the southwest part of the state doesn't lose representation when the state takes up the redistricting issue in the upcoming special legislative session, which begins on Sept.

Does that mean if the southwest no longer qualifies for the representation it currently has, because population has shifted, simple gerrymandering will suffice?
