Hard-hitting reality for the desolate desert of New Mexico.

TX, FL and CA are all offering better incentives (including the liability waiver),and lifestyle resources within close proximity of spaceports (most connected/nearby other airports.

Now another push-back from Branson - earliest manned flight late 2013.

T or C in 10 years...still waiting for the economic onslaught hyped from the scam when People For Aerospace (Whitehead/Stagner) forced a sales tax increase on the people of Sierra County to pay for Branson's project.

of course we'll need another tax to support that.
Nothing better then some of the locals stopping the future of t or c because THEIR land wasn't selected for the welcome center

What are you saying, that landowners don't have the same right to be obtsructionists like say, those who DON'T own big chunks of land?

Ashbaugh wants to ensure "his" WalMart/retail complex gets ALL the interstate traffic.
Williamsburg? Nice interstate exit ease, but nutting there.
It would take several Randy Asbaughs to develop both interstate exits - and currently he doesn't have any competition.

Good job...in attacking those that are not at fault. Good job...in ignoring the facts.

No locals stopped "the future of t or c." The City was disqualified for the simple reason that THE CITY DID NOT FOLLOW THE LAW in submitting their bid. Pure and simple.

The City screwed this up, thinking they don't have to follow the law. They were wrong. And, as usual, when our City is wrong, we the citizens pay for it.

The only reason we the people won't also be paying for the criminal trial of City staff as they attempted to commit fraud against the State of New Mexico was the sale wasn't finalized.
