I am looking at having a very small home with a basement built on my property.
Does anyone know the approx. average cost per square foot for Van Buren area? Also, who is the best builder for this type of work? Thank you for your responses! |

Not sure of the cost, but Cantrell Construction is very good and very fair.

1 Some contractors can buy all materials at lumber/hardware stores they are associated with and just charge a fee for everything, and that's where you'd get a price of say $75.00 to $100.00 per square foot.(my best guess at current cost) Hope this helps some. |

Tents and lean to's are cheaper.

Buy 3 or 4 of the ready made buildings & put them together. Four of the 12x12s would make a nice cabin. |

I suppose that in this town it is impossible to just come on here and get some useful information because someone always wants to make a smart remark.

I would have to agree with "whatever." Frank Cantrell Construction is great and reasonable. Now if money and time constraints aren't a concern go with Gene's Home Improvements. He charges 40.00 an hour and takes as long as he wants. He also doesn't write out bids. |

Look up Raymond Sanders. Ron Keeney will dig your basement. |
