My family and I may possibly be relocating due to a change in job which will be located in Houma. We are unfamiliar with the area. Where would you suggest we look to buy a house? A little commute to Houma would be okay. We currently live in the Mandeville/Covington area. Any suggestions of a good family town/area?

Depends on your budget. I lived on the east & west side of Houma in moderate/nice neighborhoods. I personally suggest the west side of Houma due to the closeness of the mall & more abundance of All stores & things to do. If u are looking to purchase a home, I also recommend Jill brunet & Kelli with town & country real estate. Very pleased with the work effort with these two ladies. They will go above & beyond to help you find exactly what u are looking for. Just my personal suggestion

Thanks for the advice! Our budget is around 185-200. Very interested in a family friendly area. What do you know about the Thibodeaux area? We have young children.

You could always go live with katrina skank whitecotton and the rest of the white trash that all shacks up at #515 maplewood drive. It's a great flophouse to live in, or so i hear.

Umm again not quite sure what that means. Thankfully my husbands job was not transferred so we're not moving. Based on the responses I'm thinking that might be a good thing. Yikes!
