My husband recently sent in a resume for a job there in Houma. We are wondering about living there. We live in Kentucky now. And housing prices seem normal here. What is normal there?? Is there some things higher there, like electric or gas for your home, property taxes on homes/property/vehicles. Just trying to get an idea in case he gets a call. Thanks for any and all help!!

I just moved out here from tx there's a state tax. There's not one of those in tx. Make sure you get flood insurance cause it rains rains a lot here. Houma is not bad. Hotter than the devils sack though!!
