Local hunters make Swamp People' debut

After seeing "Swamp People" last year, the History Network's hit reality series, Grand Bois resident R.J. Molinere said he knew he would be a good fit for the show.

We are also HUGE fans of Swamp People and live in Ky. I sure hope all this flooding is not going to ruin the alligator hunting! I know some of these hunters depend on this for a living or part of it anyway. And I could listen to Cajuns talk all day long! We have been to New Orleans, Lafayette and several of the Parrishes and sure hope to return some day, but want to go deeper into Cajun country and meet and get to know some of the Cajun folk.

Well it's only 1 month a year so they do other things other than hunt gators. But in a good season they can make some good dollors to help out the rest of the year.

Those people and the lifestyle you see on swamp people is as real as you're ever going to see in your lifetime. Imagine wrestling a 1000 pound alligator,killing it and going on to tag another 30 befor you fo home for supper every day. This is a reality show,,this is REAL.I lived it,I love it and I miss it terribly. Thoee swampers,some of them are my personal friends. you need a wake up call..Lord !
