I need oilfield job advice!

I have a "bird in the hand, two in the bush" situation I need advice on.
I have an opportunity to join a HWO company operating in the GOM. At the same time I have had two interviews and passed two tests (T-2) with a production company down there but was told to "wait for a hiring update."
I'm pretty sure if I wait i'd eventually get on as a production operator, but the workover thing is guaranteed. I just off the phone with them and they want me to fly down to complete paperwork.
So I guess my question is what route would you take? My home training stopped me from asking about salaries and working conditions but do any of y'all know anything about the two of those?
I'm in the dark over here and before I pull the trigger either way I wanted to get some advice from seasoned professionals.
Thanks in advance!

FYI people are saying HWO is a dead end job. Any thoughts?

Stay as far from the GOM as possible. ALL oilfield help are trash and do you really want to live in a swamp among ignorant hicks ?
