Greetings I am from Portageville Mo.We are located in in the Bootheel of Missouri. Our schools mascot is a Bulldog we have won five state titles in the past 15 years in round ball.We are a farming town with lots of cotton and beans, rice and corn.Lots of fishing and hunting. We take our sports very seriously and we are just plain old country. But we love our southern rock.Just wondering what Portageville NY. was like.Have A GREAT DAY.

Hey thanks for your reply.Portageville NY sounds like a wonderful place. Our Portageville has a mighty river as well, the Mississippi river has lots of river traffic. The bootheel of Missouri where we are located use to be swamp land until the 1900s the land was drained and it is now some of the most fertile soil in the world, and some of the best farming gound in our great country.Portageville Mo. is a great place to live it has its good and bad as I am sure most places have.Hey here is a little history, we are located about nine miles south of the great EarthQuake of 1811 that hit NewMadrid Mo.it shook so hard that it rang the Liberty bell.It also formed the Lake across the river that is now the famous Reelfoot lake in Tenn. This quake was so strong that it made the Mississippi river run backwards for three days.We are also located less than 20 miles of four diffrent states.Kentucky,Ill.Ark.Tenn.W ell thanks again for your reply and hope to hear back from you.God Bless You.And have a good day.

Hey friend hope all is well.Thought I might just jot down a few things as I was killing time and thougt of Portageville NY.So I thought I would check in.I think it is pretty cool that a place that I just came up on by chance just crosses my mind.Any way I am sure glad you got your hey in the barn after all your rain, but not as glad as the milk cows Im sure.As for Portageville Mo. it has been raining so much that I hear the old time farmers saying they have never seen it take so long to get the crops out.It is all ready Nov.1 and they havent even picked the first bowl of cotton. The bean and whats left of the corn is rottenig on the stalks. Most of the rice is out but there is still some in the feilds. The rain is over at least slowed down, and the harvest starts Monday. The farmers will work hard up in to the winter geting there crops out,it is going to be a very long and painfull witers. But this little comunity will make it through it seems like we always do.So long for now God Bless.

Hey Gath.Well things are realy starting to look diffrent around these parts, the farmers are just about through with the harvest. All of the corn, rice and most of the beans are in.They are just geting done with the cotton, this has been a long fall for the farmers and there farm hands we have had more rain than we normally do.Anyways winter is just fixin to set in hopefully no ice this year.I hope things are good with you and yours.Times are sure hard around here these days as I am sure it is every where else, but with Gods will and any luck we will make it.So long for now I think I am going to go hunting.

Daily Horoscope for December 22

Leo

If you ask someone to give you a hand today, don't be surprised if they make a mess of it. That's probably because their mind isn't on the job, but it might also be because your instructions aren't as clear as usual. So before you get angry, check that what you said made sense. Relations with someone older or more influential than you could also be blighted by confusion or doubt now.
