Yes, there is an opening. It will be temporarilty filled by an Interim Supt., then a new Supt. will be appointed after a lengthy search by the BOE, school staff and community.

Rumor has it, that the "internal candidate" is not even qualified for this position, and that the candidates that ARE qualified, are 3 females.......anyone know if this is true, or just rumor?????

Yes, you have it right. Internal candidate didn't make final cut. All three FEMALES seem highly qualified. I hear they got an earful from staff in terms of their low morale and a lack of administrative direction and competency. Fact is internal candidate not even qualified or competent to be principal. Previous superintendent pissed everybody off. Has taken toll on students (example: no summer school), parents and staff. If internal candidate had gotten job the death spiral would have definitely continued. Now, we'll see if any of the three can be convinced it is worthwhile coming here. If one can be convinced then it'll be interesting to see if things can turn around.

As loing as johnson is gone im happy. That school had the highest drop out rate ever what he was there. Now people need to open there eyes and get thom kopp out.
