After reading the previous posts, it becomes obvious that the Texas posters win the Bigot award, but there's nothing new in that.

I am sorry but I just moved here from California. And I thought it would be a nice change of pace. But also I have had bad experiences at this store. I am sorry but just reading the response of the worker and her lack of care for the customer...ie the gross language she uses but what ever happened to "the customer is always right"?! When did we stop appreciating the job we have and trying to DO our job?! Period! Shame on the Management for hiring such ungrateful hateful people.
I was looking forward to shopping at a local store but Walmart it is...and the small stores wonder why we go to the BIG Sotres instead.
Shame on you workers that treat people different.

Yes, Cranfords seems to have conered the market on rednecks and rude teenage girls. Glad to see it's not just me. I've been treated badly by their help on several occasions and have sworn that I'll never shop there again. That store on highway 5 has been going downhill since it opened.
I agree with you about shopping at Walmart and Kroger, My truck makes it there just fine, and their prices are not as inflated as at Cranfords. Let's see, no attitude and more money in my pocket, WOW what a deal!
Agreed!!

Stop whining about this. Just bc one employee said something and two grown men took offense it, doesn't mean all the employees are the same. I recently went shopping at the store on hwy 5 and all the employees were super nice and helpful. I wasn't sure if they carried a particular item in produce, I asked the produce manager and he told me yes and even showed me where it was. I checked out and had a buggy full. Even though I am young, the girl who was bagging, asked me if I would like help out. I took her offer and she was very polite, she put the groceries in so that nothing got crushed and what not. I give her two thumbs up bc not only did she ask me but she asked everybody in front of me, even if they had only one bag in the cart. Kiddos to Cranfords for having such nice and helpful employees!

Why is everyone assuming that what this guy says is completely true? It's just his word against the other guy's. And yet people are telling him to call the ACLU and all that junk....geez.

Everyone is so touchy these days.

I just moved to the Village and I'm male, so the comment above about Village people is totally off base. The Village brings a lot of money to the area and the reason there are stores at the west and east entrances to the village are there, and those are jobs for people they ordinarily wouldn't have. We also spend money in Jessieville, Fountain Lake, Benton, Hot Springs, Little Rock, etc. Sounds to me as if we have some people who are jealous of those of us who have worked for 40 plus years and are now in a position to enjoy living peacefully and quietly. If two grown men are so super sensitive about what a teen says, then I say those guys better grown up quickly or else move to an area that is predominately gay. I've shopped at both Cranfords and they are decent stores, but I prefer to do most of my shopping at the big Kroger store in HS. I've been treated with respect, but I also treat others with respect and I don't carry a "stick on my shoulder" hoping someone might might offend me either. I think we have some people who need to grown up and quit whining.

Seems you have a real problem respecting your elders and I'm sorry to see you listed Houston as your residence, as I know most Texans would find your comment extremely offensive.... I know I do and I think you are mad because so many older people have moved from the northern states to Florida, You need to grow up and quit being so whiny ... I'm sure your parents and grand parents would be ashamed to see what you posted.

I don't mind cranfords. I take each incident I run into with the dumb and rude individually. If you want to see a bastion of more intolerant, educated but ignorant, educated and self righteous.....I could go on forever and a day..... Drive right down the road and deal with anyone who is an official Jessieville ANYTHING! I have never dealt with anyone in a posiotion of "power" that is from Jessieville or currently resides there that is not a blowhard jackass that thinks they know everything. I call it "small fish, small pond syndrome". But, lets face it, the buggy boy at Walmart at Walmart has achieved much with his Jessieville education. I'm not for sure if Jessieville got that way from the village folk's attitude or whether it was the other way around.

I've lived in the village for 4 years now. I've noticed quite a bit of rudeness. I'm young(37), and it seems to the younger around notice the older ones around have that attitude you seem to have. I have/spend a ton of money. Just be happy I'm here. I throw the BS flag on that real quick. But, it's ok. You are probably right, you shouldn't have to say thank you or excuse me and I should be perfectly happy you pulling right out in front of me then looking at me as if I'm to blame I nearly hit you. Get real. I've been treated with more disrespect in and around the village more than anywhere else not counting Afghanistan, of course. I've known a ton of marines, but, you appear to be first blind one I've seen. Also, what gives you a right to tell people to stop whining. If you have that right, I have that right to tell you to sit and spin. I normally wouldn't do that, but, you set the precedent.

LOL reading this post is humorous.... tony doesn't sound tolerant to me but Cranfords is now gone from the east location and it has been renamed on the west end, so tony will have to find another business to stir up with crybaby observations... supposedly grown man got his feelings hurt by some teenager (probably a 16 year old)... come on, man, grow a pair.

What previous posts on here are from Texas?? We all know the least educated state is Ms, and seems like you are a prime example of such.
