A buddy bought a truck and is needing major repairs 2 months later... and I bought a car that broke down before I even made my first payment! I'd be careful shopping there!

They sell nice, but high mileage cars and trucks there.
The bikes are generally low mileage, but high priced, which is normal for "we finance" lots. I've known 2 or 3 people who bought bikes there...all with pretty good experiences.

Can't speak of the automobiles. I understand they repo quick if you don't pay!

They have been around for over 26 years and started in a rinky dink trailor and now are the most successful used car business in Hot Springs so they are obviously doing something right. If any cars had broken down with the prior commenters than they could have prevented that by asking questions and getting car fax from the salesman for the vehical and heck maintianing it and getting your normal tune ups wouldn't hurt to keep any vehical running. It never hurts to go up there comprimise with your salesman. They are more than friendly and on that note they give the people who are behind on payments plenty of chances to make their payment prior to informing them that they are going to be out to repo it. I have had 4 cars from John Gibsons and not 1 had any kind of problems.

I've had my car since Feb. 2012 never had any problems, its a 2010 dodge charger had 32,540 miles on it. My partner lost her job in July 2012 so I explained to them that some of my notes may be late but I will pay the late fee, they have worked for me and I'm grateful. You have to communicate, which is the case with a lot of companies. Let them know your having problems don't just ignore them and disregard their letters.

We purchased 03 dodge, extened cab, in "07" Paid it off in 3 1/2 years. Only trouble had, waterpump went out about 6-7 months ago. My Husband changed that ,no more trouble's and I still love it. they were awsome at this time. We then went purchased a a '06" Camper with slider. They we great. then purchased a 2010 jeep. They now are getting cranky. Day late, just into your grace period,u will hear from them,those girls act like it comming out of their pocket.You would think by this time they would consider you a little more after all you r helping with their pay checks. BE ON ALERT

After searching all over the Little Rock and Hot Springs areas for a reasonable deal on a European vehicle, I have purchased two vehicles (both Volvo) from Gibson. Both transactions went smoothly and more than pleased with their level of customer service. We did invest in Carfax for both vehicles and the last purchase required some recall replacement stuff at the dealership, but we knew what we were buying both times. I would recommend them to anyone who is in the market for a used car.

They get parts from salvage yards,I see the truck all the time from Sonny's. I know they get a bunch of speedometer clusters . Could say 158,00 but when put on a computer it could have 258,00. If your going to drop that kind of money pay and have a pro check it out. I heard more bad than good. If they will change a speedometer to screw you what else would they do .

Liars, Liars, Liars! I traded a nice car for a super glued piece of crap. I would NEVER have dealt with them but they tell you they report to credit bureau a year later & good payment history STILL not been reported. They screw you any which way they can. They made money off of my trade in, off the super glued suv, and now this other car because super glued suv kept having same problems they had fixed already I traded it back to them. I wont be dealing with them again or much longer. There are attorneys to handle LIARS like this!

My question to you is...if you knew they were doing this. why have you not reported them to the attorney generals office? That seems like the right thing to do dont you think???

I have bought several motorcycles from them. No complaints there. Both were good bikes. Low mileage. However, I pay my auto insurance monthly, and every month, JG sends me a letter stating that I must fax them a copy of my insurance because they show it about to lapse, thereby putting my in violation of my sales contract. That is starting to get real old.

Their computer system runs a list of people who are late. That could mean a day, week, or month, as soon as they get that list to make call outs "their job title" they call to not necessarily harass you but to remind you of your payment and to give you the option to set up a promisery note that way you don't get those calls or letters. But yes, some of the staff need to remember their still at their job and although we ALL get tired at our 9-5 non ideal jobs, you still need to put a little pep in your step and be kinder on the phone even if the last customer you spoke to cursed your entire family out. Lol.
