My parents are there in Hot Springs too. 27 homes gone, 50 structures total... 1 dead. My thoughts are with his family. No control of the fire in sight... what a day! Over 5 miles burnt and still going. Keith's Park, Cascade Road, Sheps Canyon and even now heading out to old Minnekatah Valley towards Edgemont. This fire is one of the fastest and worst SD has seen.

Does anyone know if there is a list of address that are burned? My mom has been evacuated. I'm sure my uncle is in the evacuation as well.

I just want people to know that the man that died did not go in after possessions, he went in after his dog.

I knew the gentleman who died. He was a very good family friend. I still have lot's of friends and family still there. Last I had talked to them the fire was still on the other side of the Seven Sisters out on Cascade road.

I visited Hot Springs several weeks ago on a "Roots" trip. Saw my Grandfathers and Fathers places off Cascade Road. I hope they are still there.

Yesterday my mom took off from work to help serve lunch to the evacuees and my father said that at 5:00 pm they were going to allow the evacuees to go back out to their homes (some of them anyway) to assess the damage. 37 homes gone at last count, including our dentists.
