I'm not familiar with that community specifically, but the Horse Shoe / Etowah area is a wonderful place to live.
We moved here last year and really love it.

Kathy: Thank you for your encouraging response. I will move into my Etowah home just as soon as I sell my home in St. Petersburg Florida. I also have a friend here that is buying a home in Hunters Glen, Hendersonville, NC.

Can you provide any more information about the area? Do you live there year round? What do you think about the winters? Etc.

Thank you.

Hi Jack,

Welcome to Etowah! We moved here from Delray Beach last November.
We've only been here for one winter, but it was very mild. It snows from time to time, but usually melts before noon. I think I wore my winter coat maybe ten or fifteen times all winter.
The Henderson County schools are excellent, and most people are very friendly.
The pace is much slower than Florida, and there's much less traffic.
My husband and I are realtors and get to spend alot of time exploring and showing the whole Buncombe/Henderson area to clients. We still wake up every morning, look at the mountains and feel so lucky to be here.
If there's anything else you'd like to know, feel free to email me at: kathyv@c21mountainlifestyles.c om
