It use to be a small community trying to better itself. Neighbors helping neighbors. People taking some pride in keeping their property clean and respectable. My last visit was a real eye opener. It has gone down hill, fast. What a shame. Sorry to say I once lived there.

We have a city goverment that is made up of dishonest, selfish people, some with criminal records. These people do not abide by any laws or
rules, the majority of these people belong in jail.
A lot of residents would like to move, but cannot
because of the economy and the true stigma of Olympian Village. The village schould be Disincorporated. We could be living in a village that has police protection, a street department, a city hall that is run properly, laws and rules that are followed by all, residents that care about each other, the list could go on and on, but we will never have any of it in O.V. What a shame. It would be best if the whole place were just shut down.

they dont have spare parts on hand because of the money factor. If the City disincorperates what is going to hapen to the sewer system, and how much will it cost a month to keep it up?Just a thought.

When the sewer system was put in, it was to be self sufficient after it was paid off. That should have happened years ago. If the city disincorporates they will lose quite a bit of revenue from different places. If they don't have a Police Dept. then they are at the mercy of State patrol. They will not get some refund on Road taxes, etc., etc. Dis-incorperation is not the answer. Better people serving is what you need. And try to be informed, instead of just complaining.

From the mature expressions and classic spelling, one can see where your comment makes sense. At least to you. Exactly why I moved out of MO.

Leady and Keith Atchley, Where does the money go to help the citizens? The citizens have a voice and rights! Government is for the people by the people. NOT for Jennifer Johnston and by Jennifer Johnston...

Olympian Villiage isnt ALL bad. Yes, on a crisp fall morning you can smell the Meth cooking three houses down, but if the good people that live there would start REPORTING that stupid sh*t and cleaned up their property it could be a much nicer place.

Olympian Village houses do not sell!! The street have no "street names" posted. Instead the city spent thousands of dollars to put up "no parking" signs in front of peoples homes they don't like. There are no police to enforce the signs. Maybe the citizens should post signs that call for the impeachment of the Board...

Good luck selling your homes. Follow the blame to city hall

The citizens need to sit outside city hall with a stop watch. City employees clock in then leave city hall for several hours on a daily basics and come back at the end of the day to clock out. because it's our money after all.

Remeber no smoking in City Hall City Employees!!!
