That mainly depends on what part of town you're talking about, some are paved regularly an kept in good shape, others are patch work with big dips or holes that ruin the alignment an tires on cars.
Guess which side of town is which....LOL!!!

Because the finished product will only be as good as the person doing the work and the road crews around here have no clue as to what they are doing. Go look at the painted lines and how they repaved lovers lane. A blind drunkard could have done a better job.

Because Waterparks, rails to trails, and over priced city offices are more important to our elected officials.

Because this town would rather sink your tax dollars in over paid city workers salaries and worthless projects that will only be useful to a handful of people.

The more affluent parts of town seem to have nice road and steady upkeep. I wonder why they get more attention to their streets than the rest of the city.

They pay more taxes, why shouldn't they have the best roads?

That is not how taxes are supposed to work. I know you are correct, which is why I asked in the first place. It is a sad state that one can buy influence and call down the city hall to keep their neighborhood in tip top shape on all of our dimes while areas that need real infrastructure repair, replacement, or upgrade that would improve the overall quality of the whole community have to suffer. This isn't like welfare where you can point to a few lazy people you saw one time at Krogers as justification on why you want everyone to be kicked off the government dole. These are roads, they belong to all of us, they can be used by us at any given time. They need to be kept up. Studies have proven time and again that a better infrastructure improve all areas of a city, even the poorest of neighborhoods. But this town won't even bother to keep up major roads where factories and businesses are, which do directly effect the tax base and economy of our area. It makes no sense.

not only do the city streets look terrible the street signs are either missing, leaning or you cant see them so why should anything else be any different, oh and the city workers are underpaid unless you hold a bigger possition, the workers have to do only what the big guy tells them other than that they have no control ,and if you call and complain do it to the mayors office you may get somewhere there but i doubt that too.

Someone should at the very least paint some new yellow lines on the roads. At night its hard to see the lanes.

Of course not! I would leave it at home in the safe I bought for it years back.
I mean how rare is a smart ass-mouth, so few people have an ass-mouth, much less an intelligent one.
