Bart`s Grill and Racket Room Pub- An old brink building in downtown, Bart`s Grill and Racket Room Pub`s third floor (once an apartment) is haunted by a woman who hund herself there years ago. Now a dining room for large parties and storage room for the restraunt, workers have had things mysteriously fly off shelves at them, and have had problems with electricity. Even with new lightbulbs in the light fixtures, they continue to glow extremely dim or not at all. There is also reports from one woman who lived there after the suicide that she finally had to have the elevator buzzer disconnected for good cause it would go off every night at a certain time.

Riverside Cemtary- This is a burial site of Edgar Cayce, a civil war General killed in Hopkinsville by a Union sympathizer and one of the Bell Kids.(Associated with the Bell Witch and Adams Tennessee) There have been reports of screams in the cemetary, people staring of the front gate, and strong smells of Lilac, even in the Winter when snow`s on the ground.

Edgar Cayce was born in 1877. The Civil War ended in 1865.
His claim to fame has to do with psychic abilities. Professionally though he started out as a photographer. He was not a soldier, nor was he even born yet when the Civil War took place.

Unless of course you meant that Riverside cemetary is the burial site of Edgar Cayce, aswell as the burial site of a Civil War General killed by union sypathizers, and also the burial site of one of the Bell kids. Which would be plausible however names of the General and the Bell kid would be useful. The way it's writen both in your post and on theshadowlands.net makes it seem as if Edgar Cayce was a Civial War General, which is not the case.

Possibly, the smell of sewage comes from it's proximity to the Little River...

the cemetery is vey spiritual at nights .There are a lot of unrested souls in that land. I have been there on several occassions and the first time nothing, it was just an oridinary dark ol cemetey, but the last time I visited it was far from oridinary, the person who was with me took pics in there and there were like these orbs or apperition it was weird. They thought at first the pics were messed up and had another store do them and they showed the samething. As for me I do not think I will be tempting the unknown I have heard of people doing this and contacting a bad spirit.

Gotta love the idiocy of people who believe in superstition and nonsense. According to some of these folks, a ghost can haunt the place they died, some place they liked or lived even if they were not near it when they died, and they can also haunt the ground six feet above where they are buried (days after they died) and sometimes not even close to were the body is!(Somehow at times they claim the same ghost is haunting multiple locations also!)

They also seem to be adverse to sunlight, since no one ever sees one in the daytime. I guess it could just be that in the dark, we don't have great vision and make up things in our head to explain things we can't see... but that is just silly right? It has to be those restless spirits! LOL

Actually she was referring to TWO separate issues. A civil war general who was buried in Riverside Cemetery AND Edgar Cayce, who was also buried there!! So it may be wise to read a little closer and realize that the facts are straight....it was just missing a comma.

The house that my ex and I lived in has ghosts in it. When I first moved in with him, he told me of his own experiences. But I thought he was crazy. A couple of days later, I had my own experience. I was asleep in bed, after he left to go to work, when I heard loud and heavy footsteps in the attic. I got up and went to check but no one was there. Then it wasn't before long that the little girl made her presence known. It was the middle of the night, we were asleep and no one else was in the house, when I felt a cold hand pushing me away from him and then felt a cold body slide between us. She then whispered to me "don't touch him, he's mine." Needless, to say I went and got on the couch. She then started moving things of mine from one room to another. She did this everyday until we moved. The footsteps we heard occasionally. One other thing, no matter the time, whether it was day or night, you could look up at the attic window from outside and see this little girl clearly. She wears a white dress that looks like the style from the civil war era, long brown hair with a blue ribbon in it, and is very beautiful. Which makes since because the house dates back to the slavery days.

This person was not saying that Edgar Cayce was a soldier during the civil war, only that he and a civil war officer were buried there. Edgar Cayce was in fact buried in North Carolina where he lived with his family when he died.

Well I'm not gonna say we're I live right now but it is in town and not far from the fairgrounds but this house is most definatley alive and wide awake!!!Im somewhat use to it after 3 years but still get goosebumps as things happen here!My family thought I was crazy until they seen what was happening also.To start off about 2 years ago things started just moving like pictures jumping off the walls and yes they were secured on the wall and doors being opened on their own. Then the stranger showed his or herself but only as a black image and no we're not on drugs it's just something we never believed in. So now it's like a regular thing to see the person moving to room to room because we never been harmed its just weird!!!!
