No dog in this hunt, but you are a prime example of why this program can't be successful. It is always much easier to bitch, moan, and complain than it is to earn your own way. Title IX has definitely aided in girls getting to play sports, but it is wrong in so many other ways. A prime example is this situation. It has taught people to be to lazy to get out and raise funds to build your own program. Pitiful!
when you say earn your way on to the team how much does that cost because ive seen players at hoptown and county that are true talent baseball players and did not get the time they deserved on the field because someones parents was paying off the coach and doing favors. its sad to see a coach take a job and then be bossed around like a punk by the parents and even lies on the stat sheets to make people out to be more than they are and to hurt others. coaches its your responsablity to yourself the children and to god above to do the right thing. to bad, for some its too late!

The softball coach needs to stop this crap about the baseball team and start winning some games. The baseball team is fine. Worry about your own problems with those sissy girls!

Baseball is not fine. The coach is an idiot and is out of control. He will not listen to anyone. Heck, the man don't even know how to operate a computer! He gets kids to do his computer work for him in class.

Who is the booster president that the coach is walking all over? It is a shame no one is willing to stop this coach. Who are the other board members who are just sitting there letting coach walk all over them and their leader?

cry cry cry!! so you want to do somthing with the coach and the parents that are running the program in the dirt. are you tired of seeing talent wasted on kids that will never do anything outside of high school? do you have a child that should be given the same oppurtunity as the favored child but dont? well here is how to make it fair and put the best talent in play.

you probably have 2 to 5 kids that have the money trap parents that get unfair amonts of play time fo r their ability. you are not alone everyone else sees it too. There will be many upset parents around this type of program. so start with about 4 trusted people and have a meeting with them to discuss the situation and make sure they feel the same way, im sure you have already talked to that number of people about this any way. next set another meeting and have each person at the last meeting to bring another trusted person, by now you will have about 8 to 10 player parents involved and then it will be easy to get the remaining parents involved that are not cowards. you need to set up one meeting and get the whole bunch together and draft a letter signed from boosters and send to coach. remember you are looking for fairness not to step over people like what has been occuring, this is for the best. the coach will immediatly go on the defensive and asking questions and showing his power as instructed by the money trap parents. do not tell your kids what is going on so they cant say anything on accident. if no changes are made within one week new letters should be sent to coach, AD, principle and others that are suppose to stop this type of favortism and form of bullying from occuring. by now eveyone will most likley be called to a meeting and everyone needs to voice thier concerns have one or two people speak for your group its important to all sit and stick together at this meeting and make it clear just how many of you their are. if done properly the coach will be forced to do the right moral and ethical thing and the money trap parents will just have to play nice from this point forward. all it takes is one person to make a stand so what are you going to do sit back and watch your child be abused just so some money parents kids can play baseball and act like a big shot if so you are a piss pour parent. this approach will work.

The coach is wearing out the pitching machines instead of live pitching/hitting and it really showed last night in the season opener loss to Logan Co. last night. Defense looked pretty good.

That team will be lucky to win 5 games. Can't play Daddy's boys and win ballgames.

Just get on board with the coach. It's very early in a long season. I'm sure he will get it all figured before long.

You must play the older boys the ones with the experience all these boys have played all their lives so the oldest have the most experience. This may piss the money trap parents off at first but just set up more JV games and explain to them they will get their turns when they are juniors and seniors. And then you will win games stop trying to build a program for the future and play with what you have today. The younger players will not go anywhere else because the other schools already have the money trap high profile parents that think they know it all and they won't fit in. Sorry if this pisses you off and I it does just know the truth hurts.

WOW! One player plays 3 different positions while others sit the bench. Way to go #11. Need to give your dad a big hug for your playtime.

What about the errors in the field and the kid is left in there to continue to make more. There are more kids on the bench. I guess your dad's field work is paying off.
