I was at the B.P on west 7th and N drive. today at around 12:15 pm...I saw a white man almost hit a black woman in her vehicle, they lady starts and the man start to argue. well a OFF duty was pumping gas at the same time, so he decides that this maybe 5'2 110 pound lady was the most aggresive. which blows my mind. so he another OFF duty pulled up in his personal vehice i might add decided t HELP so they have this woman hand cuffed on the ground face down with a 250 plus pound man and a 150 plus pound man with there knees in her back. she crying so lound that it brought tears to my eyes! so do you wonder what happen to the WHITE man that she was argue w/ was during all this? well the OFF duty officers told him to leave. there is NEVER a reason for this to happen..If she was violant then maybe but she was not! I was there and I hope that she gets the footage from the security cameras and sue's the heck out of theose two officers.. I do not hate cops i think they are to protect and serve not to HARM WOMAN just because you can! I would be so ashamed if I was the mother to those two so called MEN

when i left I went to Wendy's across the street on a busy lunch hour and the drive through worker asked what was going on over there because she heard the lady crying.....this is HORIBLE that our local officers would do this...and see it fit

It is our duty as citizens to record video of incidents and file complaints, written complaints with the department and follow up.

Post video if you have it.

Report what you saw to the Police Command. If they handcuffed her, then i would assume there was an arrest. If so, then there will be a record of what Officers it was. Do you know if it was HPD or SO, that might help narrow down who to talk to.

I'm not sure why u say cry baby, however if that lady was your wife, mother or sister you would be very upset. We has human beings should care more about one another. Then our world could be a little more peaceful. Sorry you feel the need to call names

Obviously the same ignorant individual posted simultaneously.

So you obviously know the policy and procedures of the Hopkinsville Police Department, could you explain those to me? What should an officer do if an irate person is acting in a threatening manner? What if the lady threatened the officers? Do you think they just put her on the ground for no reason? People need to learn that you cannot behave in a threatening way towards these officers. She obviously did not calmly discuss her problems with the Officers. If she had, maybe she would not have been on the ground handcuffed. Stop making assumptions and mind your business. Oh wait, let me guess...you are one of those typical jobless pieces of trash that follow cops around and video tape them? Perhaps you should voice your opinion at a city council meeting? Or would you rather hide behind your computer and make assumptions?

So you observe something, know half the facts and assume the rest. My wife wouldnt have acted like that she would have complied with the police. THe lady was arrested for driving on a suspended license, possession of a suspended license along with other charges. The police cant help that they were forced into taking action when she resisted arrest. Putting people on the ground is the fastest and safest way to end a confrontation.
