If you vote republican ,you have not worked union work. They hate union labor. Also if you draw social security or medicaid or a pension.Just wait and see what the rich republicans have in store for you shortly.RAND PAUL AND HIS CLONE THOMAS MASSIE both are against poor and working class people. Both of them are wealthy. Why do we keep letting money people buy elections. That comes from both sides of the parties.
The unions were a good thing at one time. But they have been taken over by communist minded people who have ruined the concept. These people use the freeloader that joins the union to justify the perceived power. Karl Marks push to form unions in the US in the 1850s. Marks wanted Lincoln to impose his communist ideas on America society. Lincoln liked the Communist concept but felt it was too radical for the American people. So he did not use ideas in his campaign. I was a union member and a Steward. Now days it does more harm the good.

Never worked for a union job. When they came in ,it seemed to me it took something out of the job.So left for other work.Wound up self employed.

Always thought the union was to be and was for the worker, til the Gov`t got involved and the gov`t workers became unionized. Then the payola started and power to the unions became too much, with the graft.

It is about the same as with Congress. The new person is good til they get into Washington, learn the ways of the older heads, collect money, get greedy, bummer .

the unions have crippled America ,......

when private sector unions get too strong and greedy ,..the company is forced to close down or move over seas ,.....
today ,..these so called 'government unions ' cant kill off the U.S. government ,...
taxes must be increased ,...to reach the never ending demands of the greedy unions ,....

the middle class will be taxed to death ,...
America will slowly die, the death of a thousand cuts
,..this is happening already ,...
and it will only get worse
For sure

I agree with you totally, Whitey! I was a union member for 12 years and, though I don't begrudge them anything, finally quit that job in Louisville, and moved down her to Texas, which is, I'm sure you know, an "open shop" state. I've never regretted it for an instant. I was then in a position to speak for myself and, if I didn't like the way I was treated, I just went and got me another job. Unions were, at one time, absolutely necessary, especially in the coal industry. I grew up in Kentucky, one of the strongest union states in the Union (the country, that is), and had a great appreciation for the United Mine Workers. These days, however, the unions have become little more than money laundering operations for the Democrat Party. Thanks to several governmental agencies, we are now so over-regulated that you can't fart without someone filing a grievance.

Nope, the safety regulations, along with all the other regulations, are there, and heavily enforced, so there is really no need for a union, anymore. Besides, I never liked having to wait for "de Massa to t'row me a bone." I went out and got my own! I don't usually get involved with some of this talk, anymore, but I felt that I should let you know that someone agrees with you, here! Have a great day, Whitey, and enjoy the Super Bowl!!!

A young country boy, and his family, were visiting a mall. They stopped at the beauty parlor to drop off the mother, so that she could get her hair fixed. As the man and his son walked further, they were amazed by almost everything they saw, for they had never been out of the hills before, in their lives. They were especially fascinated by two shiny, silver walls that could move apart and back together again.

The boy asked his father, "Daddy, what is this thing?"

The father, never having seen an elevator before, responded, "Boy, I ain't never seen nothing like this in my life! I don't know what the hell it is!"

While the boy and his father were watching wide-eyed, an old lady, in a wheel chair, rolled up to the moving walls and pressed a button. The walls opened and the lady rolled between them into a small room. The walls closed and the boy and his father watched small circles of lights with numbers above the walls light up. They continued to watch the circles, as they went up, and then reversed their direction and came back down.

Suddenly, the mysterious walls opened up again, and a beautiful 24-year-old woman stepped out. The old Daddy looked over to his son and said, "Uh, quick boy! Go get 'cher old Momma!"

Bob stood over his tee shot for what seemed an eternity. He waggled, looked up, looked down, waggled again, but didn't start his back swing. Finally his exasperated partner asked, "Bob, what the hell is taking so long?"

"My wife is up there watching me from the clubhouse," Bob explained. "I want to make a perfect shot."

"Good lord!" his companion exclaimed. "You don't have a snowball's chance in hell of hitting her from clear over here!!!"

Now he wants more time to present a Budget he has not had in over 4 years now.Maybe if he quit running around making speeches and got to work, something could be accomplished. Not his thing, though.

Wonder is that the people out here never get away with not doing the job hired for. There is talk of no work-no pay.Sounds prety good.

Thank you thank you thank you President Obama!!!
Yep! The bubble that broke was the fault of Democrats Frank and Dodd. The Republican(BUSH) warned the Democrats this was a problem, they did not listen, nor make any changes. Then it happened!Obama has had little to do with the increase in the Dow as capitalism has just done a come back. What he has done is to begin selling off the take over of GM`s stock at a loss of about 50%,or,$27.50 for every $49.50 it was worth when Obama took over. The stemilus at work! The taxpayers loss!

Thank you,Obama---sarcasm----
