I just heard a dr. from there comes to Trigg once a week but I'm afraid I might be too far along to switch out of the office or that would have been perfect. I've heard nothing but good things about them. I did though switch to Dr. Stitt due to the fact Hart was wanting to take me up to 3 weeks early. The last 4 visits he's tried to persuade me to go 2 and this last one he tried going 3 but no later than 1 week early and I just said enough was enough. I have 2 naturally induced children that were either late or on time and I don't want to take chances of having a c-section or what not. His reason on not wanting to wait til my due date was because I could go into labor and lose the choice of getting an epidural that I want. Well if it happens, it happens. I hope that it don't happen but risking the long term affects that can hinder my child for a few years is not worth being "pain free"

Stay away!!! OMG if you go to the ER, you will probably have the baby in the room by yourself! I not go to Jennie Stuart! A vet would be lie! Go to Madisonville or Clarksville!! Best of luck!

Worst hospital in the area by far. Vanderbilt is probably your best option if you don't mind the drive.

I happen to have an affilliation with JSMC and the E.R. for MANY years, going back to when they first started employing full time E.R. docs. THAT is why I questioned the post as to why it was titled as it was. No disrespect intended, it just didn't fit what it looked like you were looking for. Having said that, there is nothing wrong with JSMC, although I am sure someone has a horror story. Every hospital goes through this, as you can't please everyone. You would be fine with the hospital, it is the doctor I would strongly advise you to think twice about. What I know about him is "authentic" and comes from affilliation with his colleges. I would rather not elaborate, but I would find another doctor if I were you. Good luck.
You're full of it. I've heard numerous people discuss back experiences with that place. Even here recently. And not just silly stuff either. That hospital has a bad rep and always will until they start hiring more serious individuals that actually care about the people their providing for.

IMO, when you can write a proper sentence, maybe people will listen to your misinformation. What is a "bad rep?"

I am looking in Dr. Stitt since so many have recommended him if I could not afford to travel. And I also have a tour for the baby floor. But I do appreciate all responses and I do understand all hospitals have stories behind them but a few I wouldn't even recommend my enemy to go to and was hoping JS wasn't that way. Again, thanks!
Dr Stitt delivered my daughter. I had to have an emergency C Section and she was a month early. He was WONDERFUL and so was the staff that attended to me. My child is healthy as can be, I have medical issues that in no way were due to any decision or procedure Dr Stitt preformed. Because of his skill and the attentiveness of the JSMC staff, those issues were properly diagnosed and a plan was made to tend to them long term.

As for JSMC, I have had two surgeries and three (overnight/to several days) stays there. Again, the nursing staff was top notch. They took very good care of me. I've not had a bad experience with them. Congrats on the new little one coming into your family.

I've had surgery at Vanderbilt, there is no way I'll ever step foot in that place again. I had a second surgery to fix what Vanderbilt screwed up at jsmc, with no problems what so ever. I find the doctors at Vanderbilt to be very arrogant and non caring!

This community get what it is willing to tolerate. There are a few good doctors. But, there are a lot of bad ones. The problem is that nobody does anything about the bad ones.
