You should be paid what you are worth for the job you do by your employer, not the customer. A tip used to be a thank you for good service, now it is expected even for bad service. Instead of forcing customers to pay an automatic gratuity, just pay the people what they are worth to begin with.

You keep mentioning managers as your examples. What would a servers yearly pay be without just bases on the wages you give them without tips? Please be honest. Most of your employees are not managers. You depend on your customers to directly support their wages through tips and that is a fact. It should be illegal for any kind of job to get away with paying people less than minimum wage for their work.
You are wrong again I only mentioned managers once. Our servers make 600-800 week in tips on average. It's kinda like being in real estate or selling cars it's up to you on how much you make we just "rent" you the space to work in. I guess your opinion is of your own ignorance, obviously you are behind in times and you don't understand. If you can work 20 hours a week and make 500$ why wouldn't you, their are school teachers fireman and attorneys wives that just need a little extra money. It benefits everyone good day! Also, you get insurance options

If you merely rent the space they work in, then they aren't employees, dumbass, and unless you are in upper management, you aren't part of the "we" who are renting a damned thing. Your ass can wind up on the pavement just as fast as one of the other wage slaves you seem to think you're better than.

Are all food workers as stupid as you are, or do you pride yourself as being dumber than the pack?

Maybe managers can work on the same basis as the lower swine. Put a big ol tip jar at the front of the store and pay them that plus "insurance" options.
