This is a preliminary report. The reason not all news outlets have started running away with this is because it has a very real chance of not happening. The initial paperwork has been filed but the location and lots of other details still have to go through upper management at Logans. Right now, it's a non-story.

Really hope the upper management approves the location. We drive to Clarksville just to get a descent steak.

I've never been to one that isn't a filthy shit pit. A perfect match for Hoptown! The added attraction will be the horrible local service!

Yeah, I was wondering if we had enough people to fill the service positions.

Logans is cheaper and serves lower quality items.

Im just not feeling it. Most Logans seem to be a few seconds from an interstate road.

It would seem out of place here in Hoptown.

Why is it when something positive happens to this town people find a reason to gripe about it. Or when anything happens to the town they gripe about it.

You are so right, I am looking forward to another nice restaurant to choose from in Hopkinsville. Think positive, at least another restaurant means more jobs and more jobs means a stronger community.

Some people don't follow the mindless drones who think it is worth having a restaurant just for the sake of cheap and poorly made food and a handful of minimum wage jobs (or less cause I bet they pay "tip wages" to the servers). If someone has a legitimate reason to not want a redundant business in this town, I hardly see why they should be accused of wanting to put down the community or not wanting anything positive. I would love positive growth. Fast food chain restaurants pretending to be sit down family eateries are not that sort of growth.

I know that O'Charleys pay their employees 10$ an hour plus, I'm sure Logan's would too.

Pretty sure unless you are a manager you aren't going to get anywhere near 10 bucks an hour!

As for Applebee's, if that is what a server makes, I'd be surprised and happy for them. But as a franchise, the pay is determined by the owner, not the corporation. So it would reflect more on the local owners than company policy as a whole for them to be paid like that and would have zero bearing on Logan's pay scale.

That's not the point I was trying to make. My point is, when ANYTHING happens in this town, people start griping, water park-griping, rails-to-trails-griping, smoking ban- griping, new apts behind McDonald's-griping, new restaurant-griping. The only thing they don't gripe about is the great bargain that got at stupid Walmart. Of course this they're going to pay minimum wage or less, because that's just this town. God forbid that they actually have to pay a decent wage. This town will NEVER grow because people want something for nothing and Walmart can give them that.

I think it will be good for this town something else besides a pizza place or another burger joint.

I love Logans! Probably one of my favorite places to eat. What I want to know Is...Are they ging to bring In their own cooks? If not Itll be a waste because the people In this town who will apply for the job are the same people who cook at other restaurants and cant cook worth a shyte.

I hate to say this but the water park is a money pit not worth the 3 million.

Also we are not a franchise and are corporately owned as well as Logan's. Applebee's is of the woodland group franchise they do not pay their people well. Managers at O'Charleys start at 48000$ a year you can google that or double check at monster.com . This shows ignorance of real life cases.
