The only things conservatives are good at is losing to liberals and talking about how their butts are being kicked by liberals.

They are also good at fighting themselves and blaming others for why they lost.

Plus spending, losing, and/or stealing millions of dollars in utterly wasteful ways while accusing others of it for much smaller and often more useful reasons.

If we face collapse it will be at the expense of the decade+ of perpetual undeclared war and ultra nationalism. The doom of many a nation, but an addiction conservatives cannot seem to break themselves from.
You guys love correlations, even when there is no discernible proof they are directly related, so why don't you ever correlate this? The real economic recovery began and the recession ended closely after we drew down in Iraq and began to to the same in Afghanistan. Strange how that worked out?

That's bs unemployment wouldn't have just now gone back down if the recession ended that quickly. People are still being laid off and losing hours as a result of Obama care and the fiscal cliff disaster. It's great we are having to spend less money in those countries and bush was awful but Obama could have done a much better job much earlier.

So called "Republican conservatives" are not really conservatives. They are just RINOs that talk the talk but don't walk the walk. If they were real conservatives they would be serious about wielding the budget cutting axe on the sacred cows like Social(ist) Security, Medicare, and "free" public schools.

Our Sen. McConnell is the prime example. I'm looking forward to the Tea Party finding somebody that will beat him in the next Republican primary.

The Ky public school system is in the Ky state constitution so its legitimate.

Kentukys public school system is called for in the state constitution but welfare programs are not. So focus on killing welfare because its unconstitutional.

Just because socialist minded "Progressive" state legislators more than a hundred years ago made the mistake of putting it in the state constitution does not make it sound policy. Go back and look at the history of "free" schools in Kentucky or any other state. It started out as "common schools" meaning grades 1-8. That was all. There is nothing in the state constitution that says we have to have the monstrosity that we have now.

Then the constitution must be amended by the amendment process. If not then the public schools remain. The point is you follow the constitution. Not following the constution is what led to the mess in Washington.

No. There is no need to amend the state constitution.

Section 183 of the Kentucky state constitution says:

“The General Assembly shall, by appropriate legislation, provide for an efficient system of common schools throughout the State.”

This was ratified on August 3, 1891, and revised September 28, 1891.

"Common school" as the term was used in the 1890s when this was put into the constitution meant elementary school, grades 1-8. That is all that the state constitution requires the taxpayers to pay for. Anything above and beyond that is discretionary spending that the General Assembly can and should cut.

Typical response from the Left. In fact few conservatives have ever read Ayn Rand. Most had never even heard of her until the socialist left started harping on "Atlas Shrugged."

Suggest you read a real scholarly work on how to fix our society and return it to the values of individualism and free enterprise:

Education: Free and Compulsory, by Murray N. Rothbard.
