Well, I happen to see a topic about teen preg and I was just wondering who all on this topix page would not be on earth if not for a teen mother...thats all.

I was the product of some hot teen lust of the 70's and I was just checking to see if I was alone.

no your not alone. I was born to teen love. My parents have been married for a little over 40 years. My grandmother was married at age 13 years old and they were married over 70 years before they passed away. It's funny how things are so different today as to what they were in grandmas day. Back then if you wasn't married before the age of 18 years old you was called an old maid. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't want my daughter to get pregnant or married right now. As a matter of fact I tell her to leave the boys alone and get your own life then later you can go look for a boy. I pray she takes my advice. Lol

The problem is in the 70's the pill and just been invented and not many used or were aware. This is 2012 and teens should act responsible if they are going to have sexual intercourse. I am sure your mom was great but these kids want all of the free care that comes with it and the taxpayers have to foot the bill. There are so many birth control methods out there-no excuse for having a baby. Many times the mother does not know who the father it. It is a different society when your mother had you. And i bet if you ask her it was difficult raising you without resources. It does not make sense for this to happen. And many grandparents are left to raise these kids.

In other words if parents wanted to have the child and had a productive environment to raise it - soceity would be better off! It makes no sense having a child just because you lust. Just have the sex and keep it moving.

Hopefully she will listen to you. Protect her. I have a friend who's daughter got pregnant twice by the same guy and he does not and will not support the child. He would rather run the streets and get put in jail all the time. This guy also has three other kids. He is only 22. The girl is 16. The girl and her family are left supporting the two kids and she hates the guy. It took her two kids; however before she started hating him. LOL! Remember guys want the sex but not the responsiblity of the kid.

well that right there is the problem telling them to just have sex. They shouldn't even be doing that. They should be taught not to have sex till marriage. That your body is yours and when you find that special one that you marry then you share it with him. Ppl make it sound as if it's ok to have sex no matter what your age is as long as you don't get pregnant.

We have to TALK about sex, sex urges, sex feelings, and make it not so secretive. Kids think what they are feeling is unique.....well its not.

Most adults deny, deny, deny......"Oh I never did that....oh I never did any necking......oh I never got felt up....oh I never lusted about him/her....oh I never had a hickey....oh I never lied to my parents....oh I never snuck out....oh I never looked at pornography...." LIES!

Most girls dont get on birth control because of embarrassment or lack of access.

Hey what you said sounds good in theory. However, not too many teen will practice it. LOL That is why there are teens who are walking around with their bellies full and the tax payers taking care of them. So my theory is if you are gonna have sex protect yourself from pregnancy and dieases. And you my dear should do the same.

Since I had a child at 17 worked everyday up until the day I had my child went back to work at 4 weeks and have worked pretty much every day since then. Never relayed on the "taxpayers" dollars to foot the bill for me or my child. What you are saying is true for a lot but not all. And I believe there are times everyone needs help and hey I glad my tax dollars can help them. I understand people use the system but to sit behind your computer and act like that is what everyone does is DEAD WRONG. And FYI I most def know who my baby daddy is and no he didn't and still doesn't have anything to do with her or any part of her life. He has never helped and it was hard but totally worth it. So instead of sitting around being judgmental why don't you try helping someone.

This topix is about teen mothers. Hey, I am sorry you are a teen mother. You seem so emotional about it I bet it is rough but you find time to post on line and I bet you also text non-stop. That is why teens should not be mothers or fathers. And there are many girls who are unaware who their baby's fathers are. So he does not want anything to do with the child-That is another reason why teen should not be parents. I have a right to voice my opinion on topix just like you little girl. Don't take it out on me because I am a man and you are mad at the baby's father.

When you tell me "why don't you try helping someone" just what would you suggest. Send you some money for pampers. I be willing to bet your child has a medical card. If so that is my contribution to your family via my taxes. You should visit "friend of the court" for support from THE FATHER! If you are sexually active...protect yourself against diseases and pregnancy..it is just being responsible. Maybe you should join a support group.

Did you know that a female can not get their tubes tied until they are 25 years old. My daughter in law has two children and she spoke to her doc and they told her she had to be 25. That is crazy!

The father is on child support. And it was hard but completely worth it. And hey I find just as much time as you do to post online. And I don't have time to text much because hey I work 2 jobs. I know plenty of older people who text more than I do. And hey my child is anthem I work hard so I don't have to have the system. And in my book sweetheart your no man. My child is out of pampers so no thank you I don't need any. You haven't contributed a damn thing to my family. No support group is needed. But maybe you should join one for being such a jack ass. Hey I am entitled to my opinion too

Such a young women to have such a nasty attitude and disposition. You should check yourself before you wreck yourself. In this world life will hand you some lemons but you must turn it into lemonade. There are many women, such as myself who get divorced and have to raise children. My X-husband left... and we could not find him. I raised my daughter without his emotional and financial support. I also worked two jobs. However, I am not bitter I am better. LOL You just have a nasty attitude young lady! And you will find that attitude will migrate to your child and your child will have that negative attitude also. Wow..good luck to ya.

I am 45 and have been successful in not having children. There are many means of birth control. If she is responsible and pops that pill at the same time everyday she properly will NOT conceive! Or tell the husband to get fixed!

Truthfully don't have a nasty attitude. But I get so extremely tired of hearing all these things about teen moms. When a few bad apples ruined the outlook people have on all of us. If you ever met me you would never think I have a nasty attitude. And my little girl def doesn't.

So are you calling all the people who got pregnant on birth control liars? Are u saying you know all? And I'm pretty sure you know as well as I do that it ain't no piece of candy to have a man get fixed. So before u go telling people what they need to do maybe you should look in the mirror and tell yourself what u need not to do.

The prior blog asked about someone who cannot get their tubes tied until they were 25 and that is what I responded to. There a fail and success rates with all birth control. However, if you do not take the pill everyday at the same time the success rate declines. I do not have to look in the mirror because my husband and I choose not to have children because of people in the society like you! My husband got fixed and we enjoy our candy many nights. LOL

you was on another thread talking bad about someone and she hit the nail right on its head. She said you come from a broken home and she was right. You have no business telling anyone how to live. And you want to talk about a nasty attitude? Well you should know about a nasty attitude because you have a nasty attitude. Would you like a cookie because you worked two jobs? There's a lot of people who works two and three jobs. That doesn't make you better then any body so stop acting like it does. It's really laughable that you want to give advise on being married and having kids. Go get your life straight before telling someone how to run theirs.
