Is this a good place to work? I would appreciate as much information as anyone could provide about anything concerning working here.

Not sure about the good ones, but I can tell you Douglass sucks. Ask anyone that works there.

I do know someone that works there and they want me to get on out there. They seem to like It. Which Is why Im asking. If It sucks so bad you should be able to at least give me some examples why.

Douglas is like anywhere else, there's good and there's bad. There are definitely things that need to be improved, and they're working on improvements. And like anywhere else, there's a few out here who have really crappy work ethics and attitudes. Most people like working there, and the ones who don't are usually the ones that have created their own bad situations.

We'll Mama, what would you say the good things are and what would you say the bad things are? You seem to be very level headed and id value further input from you.

There are several incentive programs (perfect attendance awards, employee functions, bonuses). There are several benefits offered at no cost to the employees--basic health, short term disability, etc. Standard vacation time.

The not so good... It's a factory, and some have the old time factory attitude, that because it's a factory anything goes. A few out there (no, not just the guys) have the worst language imaginable, and those same people have terrible attitudes. From what I've heard recently, those folks will be disciplined beginning in the immediate future. Overtime is mandatory and a few lines work 6 days a week.

So is the basic health insurance any good? How much vacation time is given on yearly basis? Is there any way to avoid the lines working 6 days a week? Mandatory overtime a regular thing on all lines? The bad language does not bother me, I can tone it out.
