When you are told you have a reward in heaven no matter what you do, then you have no good reason to obey the law, make the world a better place, or protect the environment. So screw the rest of the world and do whatever you like because you don't have to be better when you are "forgiven", right?

So true!

I see it every 1st of the month, autos with jesus tags, stickers, and holy crosses hung about......parking in the FIRE lane! And up on the SIDEWALK! Stop it!

If you need to let a sick/handicapped person out at the door...fine...but stop PARKING illegally for the whole shopping trip!

We (jesus and I)(wink wink) see you!

It may not be how it is supposed to work, but many "true believers" act this way. It may not be the fault of the belief, but it is a fault in the believers.

Sorry but a too many christian people display those kinds of attitudes. They can do nasty, horrendous, vulgar, manipulative, greedy things and all they have to say is -Im not perfect-....just forgiven-

They never concern themselves with apologizing to the victim....jesus their imaginary friend... has given them a get out of jail free card....over and over and over.....

christians (and other religious) are too lazy to deal with real life.

At least the Mayans were dedicated enough to carve out the next few thousand years in stone. There isn't even a good historical record of Jesus for within his own lifetime.

"The date of Christmas, December 25, was borrowed from another religion. At the time Christmas was created in AD 336, Mithraism was very popular. The early Christian church had gotten tired of their futile efforts to stop people celebrating the solstice and the birthday of Mithras, the Persian sun god.

Mithras' birthday was December 25. So Pope Julius I decided to make Jesus' official birthday coincide with Mithras' birthday. All honest Biblical scholars (Christian and non Christian) admit and agree that Jesus was not born on Dec. 25. Dec 25 became the consensus date, and a logical way to assimilate the pagan, and Earth based Winter Solstice gatherings into the Christian religion.

The writings in the Bible contradict the creation of Christmas on Dec 25 because of weather. The shepherds and their flocks were not "in the fields;" they were in shelter; no one travelled in mid winter (it was too hard), and a manger at night on Dec 25 in Bethlehem was very cold. The Holy Family's whole journey, if at all, started at another time of the year. "

the date isn't as important as what it stands for. And know not all of use are like that a true follower of Christ is humble that's why he come as a baby.

Look bitches, I ain't playin' no game here. Ya'll don't want no christmas? Cool. Sit around in your wife-beaters and scratch your balls while the rest of the world gives each other presents and dabbles in holiday sex.

Maybe you'd rather celebrate Kwansa, or however the fcuk the bruthas spell it. That's cool too, just swap out your reindeer for gnomes and spend the week trying to talk you kids into attending traditionally black institutions of higher education.

It's all good by me. I'll just stand around, regardless, with mistletoe hangin from my belt buckle.

No, you're still grounded. I told you after you managed to get yourself FREAKING CRUCIFIED the last time I wasn't letting you back on Earth for at LEAST a couple thousand years. Then you have the absolute nerve to tell your little friends that when you come back you're gonna come like a "thief in the night"? Oh HELL no, you're grounded for another millenia, and then maybe this YOLO s|-|it will have passed.

"Jesus" is trying to convince us that wallowing in greed and consumerism will make us better people and that no secular person (or non Christian in general) appreciates holiday traditions (that are mostly Pagan, not even Christian) even if they do not follow the beliefs?
Really, this isn't children's Sunday School, we are all smart enough to know that EVERYONE, even Christians, pick and choose the traditions and belief they want to celebrate. Even if it seems opposed to their faith or lack thereof.

Daily Horoscope for May 21

Aries

Someone is being very informative and helpful, especially if you want them to explain something that you don't understand, so listen carefully to what they tell you. This is also a great day for making some travel plans, perhaps by arranging to visit a friend you haven't seen in a while or by discussing where you should take your next holiday.
