That is a cop out for losers who refuse to take responsibility for their own choices. Show me one citation of a young person writing "I want to get cancer or be a junkie when I grow up."
You choose to do a drug. If you choose to do it again so that your body becomes dependent upon it for survival, and you die without it or too much of it; that is not an illness. It is a cure.
