Somewhere there is a line between racism and acknowledgement of a real problem in the Black community, and I'm not sure it's easily found or defined. I think the most that can be said is a parallel to what I said about George Bush's idiot war: It would stop only when the men in suits rose up to protest it. The deranged thugginess of too many Black youth will stop only when Black men stand up and demand that it end. I know there are many who are doing so right now, but they haven't reached critical mass. We whites just sound like racists and whiner when we complain -- and, to some extent, we are. This is only going to be solved in-house, as it were. I'm not hopeful, because when Barack mentioned the problem Jesse Jackson proposed cutting his nuts off. Doesn't sound like a meaningful movement toward critical mass.

This is the part of summer that bugs me, Why do these depraved individuals go berserk over nothing?

This is what happens when kids are born without fathers, to teen mothers who are as dysfunctional as their own mothers and are beaten constantly to get their points across. The black community has to be the ones to stop it, we cannot dictate this to them. Responsibility for their actions is not taught in school or at home either. They do not have much parental guidance at all. Even ones who are raised right, with proper values are surrounded by ones who aren't. It is overwhelming. Learning is not a value as much in their culture either, education can be the way out. It brings the income needed to get them away from the bad influenced in their lives. We are rewarding teen pregnancy by giving them money and a place to live. Let the teen mothers live with their parent to get some sense of the weight of their bad decisions. Our only recourse, it seems, is to move away from these people. That's not a good enough solution. Till then I guess we just have to arm ourselves and shoot it out in our own homes and streets.

6 years and 2 months in prison for aggravated robbery? Imprisoned twice for auto theft charges before that? Gutless coward kills a 90 year old woman? He should get life without parole but in this state he will probably get out in 20 years and will kill again.
Anybody with a spare room please have your favorite elderly relative live there and
hopefully they will accept a big vicious dog to protect them! You never know who you can trust in an apartment complex.
