Mike Torres at MXT Associates called my office and was very rude and unprofessional. I would never do business with someone like that.

In defense to this acquisition...I am not rude at all when talking to this person...as an owner of a recruiting firm I have made the decision NOT to tell people who answer the phone, whether its the office manager, receptionist, etc, why I am calling. I am protecting the financial advisor because I know how information and gets around when things like this are wanting to be looked at. Sometimes receptionists don't like it when we don't divulge why we are calling and are shocked that we won't give them information....they take that as rude....I can live with that because I call to talk to the Advisor NOT the secretary on this sensitive matter of trying to recruit them to another firm. That is NO ONE's concern but the person I am calling for.

Mr. Torres,

Your people have called our office repeatedly, e have declined our service. I have even emailed you to kindly REQUEST that you stop calling our office because we are not interested.

While I am not the owner currently and you feel this is none of my business I am the heir apparent and I can confirm that we are not interested.

So you can have your people continue to call - you will not ever speak to my partner. It's sad that you feel that the only person who ever answers the phone could be a secretary. You don't know who may be answering the phone.

Thank you

I love that it took him over 2 years to respond.

I tried to respond back at that time but I wasn't allowed by this system to reply...if you want to talk about this rather than writing things in this silly forum....give me a call....anytime...I don't mind at all telling you the real situation...

Mike Torres at MXT Associates called my office and was shady and unprofessional. First he called from a blocked number. If you are REAL professional and represent REAL clients you have no reason to HIDE your identity. I googled him and found numerous complaints.

I found his 888-544-0836 phone number, one of several ALL OF WHICH WERE NEVER ANSWERED! The voice mail sounded like the same wimp who called me originally. I have hired Recruiters in the past and this guy is not someone you want recruiting for you.

He couldn't to pronounce my ever so simple name and sounded like the cowardly lion. I inquired as to his name which I got and his location in Wisconsin and I was off to find him on the Google-Machine. As I was asking the name of his company again, he hung up on me.

Very rude and unprofessional. My advice comes from the old Lost In Space television show: "Danger Will Robinson, Danger!"

Trying to be sympathetic to this fellow- this isn't the easiest field. But it can certainly be accomplished without being aggressive, mendacious, or rude. That said, it takes several calls before you leave a bad enough impression people are googling you, so you have to grant his tenacity.

Maybe executive recruiting isn't the best occupation for him? Debt collection might be a better fit.
