The rangers do a very good job at Sandy Pines. Something has to be left up to the parents to teach their children. It all comes down to being responsible. The incedent with the 10yr old boy was the fault of the Adult that was helping him. He was holding on to the wheel and didnt let go after going around the corner. The boy hit the gas and they hit the tree. You cant get on Sandy pines for that

"More than 3,000 carts are registered on the grounds of the resort, none of which have turn signals, speedometers or seat belts."
Seat belts for a golf cart are what?$30? With so much concern over click it or ticket, it makes me wonder why these laws arent being inforced to golfcarts.$30 is a small price to pay to save someones life. |

I agree with everything here! Sandy Pines CANNOT control these kinds of things. I remember steering the golf carts when i was younger... and after that accident i still see little kids steering the golf carts. |

If everyone obeys the Sandy Pines rules regarding the golf carts and drives the 10 miles per hour speed limit responsibly, I'm sure the accident number would go down considerably. Having talked with some rangers previously, the majority of the accidents involve teenagers. Again, it is the responsibility of the parents to teach these children right from wrong.
