I'll be driving my V8 pickup truck a lot less than usual, and will likely put more miles on my 4-cylinder Nissan.

Aside from that, my overall miles won't be decreasing. I still must go to work, get groceries, etc., etc.

I suppose that I will be eating out less, watching my food budget a bit more closely and will probably forego any real vacation this year.

I feel certain that the democrat's president will step in and save them from all this. Us conservatives are on our own though. Just gives one a warm and fuzzy feeling about the "leader" of this country. Damn, it's hard to type and laugh at the same time.

May I ask if you are the only surviving member of your family that hasn't died of gross stupidity? Someone as dumb as yourself surely has to use a CPAP to breathe because no way can you do that on your own. I'm quite certain you are living on borrowed time though.

Why did he borrow 2 trillion dollars? Because Mr. Bush didn't fix the housing crisis before he left office.

V N vet, maybe that agent orange has taken it's final toll; your senses. Obama's plate hasn't been brought out of the kitchen and the GOP doesn't plan on letting it out. You people are silly.

Obama may not have driven the car in the ditch, so to speak. If anything he has driven it further into it. There is plenty of blame to go around, both Republican and Democrat.

The only thing keeping Obama from bringing his plate out of the kitchen is Obama himself. He has done nothing but been on a spending spree since entering office. He is President of the United States not Community Organizer of the United States.

He does not realize that as the ruler of a free nation that he is Equal to and not subservient to other nations. The "Good Ol USofA" has lost allot of respect from other nations in part due to his "Bowing".

Take the Health Care Law for example: If it is so great for "Everyone" then why does it not cover "Everyone". Just look at all exemptions that have been given by this administration to Unions and the like. Those that are exempted from this legislation do not have to participate and do not get fined, as the rest of us will, if we opt out.

Bowing down to those that have large Oil reserves does no one any good. OPEC changes the price of oil at their whim for no reason; other then they want to make more money.

Take the car keys away from all these idiots both Democrat and Republican and start over. This country is in dire straits and needs a major draining of the swamp that we call Our Government.

Have to start driving my Seville more, it gets 26 mpg as opposed to 19 from my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Shame of it is that I like the Jeep better.

Styling and profiling!

And all this "price gouging" by the OPECkers continues ad infinitum as we sit on huge, untapped domestic reserves and lack the cojones to build any new refineries.

Pssht!

This, along with our government printing more 'funny money'(rather than controlling spending) will lead to inflation that will make the 1970s look like really good times.

If things keep going in the same direction, we're going to refer to the Carter Years as "The Good Old Days."

I saw a TV news story about the oil prices, the pretend "shortage" and politics behind all of it. We all know there is a lot of BS floating around, but the worst part is what our government is doing and not doing to solve the problem.

They ARE NOT repealing the ban on offshore drilling for US oil companies; but are perfectly happy with China, Venezuela, Mexico and Cuba harvesting oil from the Gulf of Mexico. They ARE NOT considering making any effort to work with oil companies to build a new refinery (which will be the first in 35 years) within the USA.

They ARE considering increasing the ethanol content in gasoline from the current ten percent upward to fifteen percent. Essentially, unleaded gasoline in all grades could be E15 -- potentially harmful to older vehicles and perhaps more costly because ethanol has to be trucked instead of sent through pipelines because its affinity for attracting moisture.

You will definitely see a reduction in fuel economy (miles per gallon) from E15, most likely because of the lower BTU content of ethanol versus gasoline. With fewer BTUs, there is less "energy" in a gallon of fuel and the engine has to burn more to attain the same power levels.

In PA, they sell E85 (85 percent ethanol & 15 percent gasoline) for about 60 cents a gallon less than E10; BUT the miles per gallon is far lower than with gasoline -- and your engine must also be rated as a "FlexFuel" in order to use it.

Perhaps the corn & agricultural lobby is more powerful than we ever knew, huh?

You never cease to amaze me. Where does this free nation crap come from? If half of you stop thinking that crap is free, maybe the debt will actually get reduced.

Then you read a news article and act as if you're informed enough to offer a valid opinion. You assume that the idea of paying restitution to Iraq and Afghanistan dropped out of the sky and the rise in gas has nothing to do with it? You're dumber than I thought.

For the record, America has been owned by foreign investors since Rockefeller's and Carnegie's days. There is not one cent that gets earned that doesn't have a foreign pocket at the end of it. America is simply a war tool with a lot of blood thirsty without a cause nor clue rebels.

Obama is a republican dressed in democratic garb. You're dumb for real, if you think that Havard lawyers aren't involved in every echelon and entity of what you call the good ole U.S of A. His presidency wasn't by chance; IVY league!!!!!!!!!! So beyond your comprehension.

Since all the family farms have been scooped up by farming corporations, those lobbyists have the ear of (no pun intended) obumbler. The billions in subsidies paid to them will create a whole new set of problems from E85 fuel to higher prices for bread, meat, cereal etc. Take all the corn off the market and PRESTO..instant inflation. Same for cotton......How's that obumbler thing working out for us now? Azzhole couldn't organize a dog fight.

And in regards to his plate. He washed it shortly after he finished eating. What he eats doesn't make you shit, so why should he let you see what he's going to be pooping all over you; no other president has ever done it that way.

America hasn't been around long enough to be equal and apparently hasn't experienced enough to understand where their place is, and if the workers control the business, then the business won't be in business for long.

The business of Virginia surely doesn't conduct business according to the whims of the people. Still triple A bonded and doing a lot better than the rest of those other independent businesses that they're unfortunately congromolated with.....

Have you noticed that the majority of complainants are city/state/fed employees?

Why do they complain about someone taking their money, when they get it right back plus some of everyone elses that's working hard and forced to pay for their worthless asses?

Republican must be republicize our money by giving it to a company that can't support itself. Allow them to spend the money without a forethought of senses, go bankrupt yearly and turn around and legally extort the people that actually work for their errors and shortcomings.

You want to know what $5 gas is going to do to our bank account? Forget Obama, look at your local governments and see if they cut some of those worthless pieces of dung or implement more excise taxes and artificially raise the value of your properties.

That doing what the feds won't do is one of those parasitic scum suckers. Tea Party? should have been Yogurt Party. Disguised as some sort of good bacteria to loosen up the tendons, now we really can't hold on to any money. Now, claim that you aren't up our ass, eating and consuming our hard earned dollars along with the city council, Newman and the rest of the do nothing pigs!

Did you even bother to read what I wrote or are you just that clueless. The free nation in which I speak has nothing with getting anything for free. What I am talking about is our FREEDOM. We live in a free society not under Socialism or Communism. I am glad that I never cease to amaze you. The only one giving away free stuff is Obama, at the expense of taxpayers.

No the rise in gas has more to do with OPEC deciding to use any excuse at all to raise the price of oil. That along with the fact that our government will not allow companies to drill for the oil that we have within our own borders. Iraq and Afghanistan was a war that we probably should not have gotten into. On that we would probably believe.

Apparently your problem with Obama is that he is not Liberal enough for you. My problem with him is that he is not conservative enough for me. Obama should have stayed a community organizer because he sucks as a president.

So you see oil prices have more to do with OPEC than the cost of restitution to Iraq or Afghanistan. You are dumb for real if you think that it doesn't. OPEC does what OPEC wants when they want to, because no one will confront them.

P.S. The next time that you intend to beret me collect your thoughts and make a coherent intelligent response. Otherwise you look like the dumb one.
