I think this is the type of brash vengeful behavior that turns people off. Personally I work in Hopewell, I do not support Newman, but this statement is idiotic. Do those officers not have a right to voice their opinions or displeasure in whatever way they see fit? Can they not support the candidate they choose just as you do? This is still America. Your statement to me sounds as if you are planning retribution. That is dangerous and harmful to your candidate. Just show up to the polls, vote, and shut the hell up. You sound like obama and the rest of his cronies.

Mr. Sylvester is back to his police bashing comments again. He has used the police department as a scape goat for the last several years as an excuse as to why he hasn't done his job. It is very peculiar that he wants to work with a police department that he claims is ineffective and not accountable for any of their actions. I think your tactics are very self serving. You can write to the editor all day long, but this family is still voting for Newman.

Newman isn't going to get enough votes to be considered respectable.

The older intellectuals of Hopewell are voting for Sylvester.

They know him and they trust him.

They understand that the evidence room fraud is Hopewell police corruption.

They understand it is unprofessional for 23 police officers to publically take any side.

They understand that Sylvester has chapped some ass at Hopewell PD because he demands they do their job correctly and conduct themselves as a professional.

The older intellectuals also understand that Sylvester does not run the Hopewell PD.

Now that we know that you are a grammar teacher check your own punctuation. Guess what that is exactly right, "while they are working" is the operative quote. The policy reads that they cannot participate in campaigning on duty, nor can they represent themselves on behalf of the department. However, they can identify themselves as to where they work Brainiac Jr. If you have any questions you can call the Attorney General's office and ask them. I guess you should move to a country where they don't have those freedoms, because you seem to relish in the fact that people should be stifled for administering their 1st Amendment right. Now that you have been enlightened by this winey teenager, I guess as long as the signs are blue you think public officals are able to campaign for your candidate.

You do not own this city or anything else that is governed by the precepts of our constitutional law. Your comments are frighteningly reminiscent of Hitler and his fascist regime. He did whatever he wanted and executed anyone who did not agree with him along with anyone else he happened not to like.

When $40,000.00 a month in tickets are written just to raise money, we have preverted the reason for doing police work!

Hopewell has become a speed trap and our reputation has gone far and wide and it is costing us many dollars that could be coming in to the restauraunts. It will take 20 years to undo what has been done in the eyes of people who go up and down this road.

If you want the sheriff's department to be in charge of law enforcement, then do away with the police department!

That's easy! That will fix it!

But, NO, we want a police department so we will have someone that will do the bidding of the same people who want to keep nino (little boy) under their control!
