Several managers fired at Johnston landfill

On the heels of state audit revealing mismanagement over at the landfill in Johnston, several managers have been fired from their jobs.

This is a disgrace. These faithful employees have worked hard for decades. Who is this man to come in and terminate their jobs? If I am not mistaken, he has only been there for a short period of time. Maybe it was his position that needed terminating, as the news of the landfill hasn't been at all positive since his arrival! It appears that Mr O'Connell has done nothing but make a disaster area in Johnston and caused havoc! What goes around comes around!

This couldn't be more true. Right away ignorant taxpayers hear it will save them money, but have no idea what they are talking about. Mr. O'Connell is currently created new positions that are going to cost the taxpayers MORE MONEY! Before jumping to judgemnt, people need to get the facts straight. I personally know Mr. O. and wouldn't trust him as fas as I can spit! HIS salary alone is equivalent to three that he fired!

Is it true that a position was filled this morning at the Johsnton landfill? I thought the taxpayers were saving money??????? Who is paying this woman's salary? Open your eyes folks! We've got con artist running the landfill in our town, and it is becoming a dictatorship! If he gets his own people in there maybe he won't get in any more trouble! Capisce?
