Yes and what a beauty it is.:-)
When I got my first duty station out of Apprenticeship training, I was stationed at a squadron in Southern California and I was assigned to be part of the test and evaluation team for the Attack mode of this aircraft......funny how it's now been around for over 20 years and has replaced several other aircraft's like the F-14 and some attack aircraft!!!

I of course added the wording through photoshop.......lol!!!

Yes, I did.......served 5 years at an Air Test and Evaluation Squadron in Southern California.....our primary mission was to test various types of equipment, ordnance, avionics for Fighter aircraft that would eventually be used by the entire Pacific Fleet:-)

I worked on the flight-line as both a Plane Captain(responsible for taking care of the aircraft through all aspects of flight operations), a troubleshooter(again doing various repairs and inspections and other aspects through flight operations), did some corrosion control, worked in the Airframe shop and also handled training and publications for several of the departments I worked in:-)

Yep that may be the case Glinda but the alternative of losing my leg or even dying is not as bad a surgery again. I just wish the Doctor would quit waiting and hoping the antibiotic works and get on with it. I have noticed any improvement in the incision since I started taking them Wednesday morning so I guess it's going to be a long weekend for me. I go back to see him Wednesday. I told the blood thinner specialist I talk to by phone everyday about the possibility of having to go to surgery again and they too said they would talk to my Doctor in regards to the blood thinner and surgery. Got my fingers crossed and praying for the best. Seems lately I can't win for losing!

I was never stationed aboard an aircraft carrier, but just before I joined the Navy in 1981......my best friend's dad took us to Fleet week in Alameda and we got to tour the USS Coral Sea......I still have the ship's post card from that visit......it leans up against my jewelry box on my dresser......the world get's smaller, I swear.....lol!!!

Just after I met my partner in 1990, we were planning on relocating to Northern California......she had friends in the area and I was originally from the Bay Area......so, in December of 1990, we came up to find a place to move into and I met her friends......anyways, I'm out their home and saw this coffee cup collections rack, seems one of the women collected cups......and I noticed a coffee mug with my squadron's emblem on it.....and so I asked her where she got it from......she said her daughter.....I was like who is your daughter.......well, her daughter and I were stationed together for about a year, then she eventually transferred and I never saw her again......8 years later I met her mother......I was just amazed......lol!!!
