Somebody should be looking into Ed Couch for pumping Derek up with the 11 Valiums that sat him down on that track in the first place. Derek was staying with him and Wendy Hart. They have a regular pharmacy of prescription drugs they accrue from their regular visits to the emergency room once or twice a week. The hospital should also be catching on to them, but somehow, they don't. The drug stores should have a red flag on them, but they don't.
If they did, maybe Derek would still be here. He was hurting and depressed. He needed a FRIEND, not a mouthful of damn pills. Disagree if you need to, but it won't bring Derek back. Ask the police about the change Ed made in his statement, when he initially said he gave Derek "A Valium" to "Derek stole 21 Valium" when Ed found out there was a toxicology report in the works. HMMMMM.

i live in the neighborhood where he died. if the cops would control the constant noise, underage drinking and sex and traffic in that block, maybe it wouldnt have happened. there is a family that lives in 3 houses on that block who are ignorant and have no clue how to be normal. they let their children skip school cuss them out, they have a million dogs that are penned up in a small area who are starving to death. rossville citizens have tried to put a stop to their trash too with no avail. we would simply have to burn down each house they live in to get rid of them. they have a very large family and rossville will never be rid of them. trust this, if he hadnt been over there as many young ppl are, having access to drugs and drinking, it prolly never would have happened. they should be punished, he walked from their house across te street to the tracks and died. it doesnt take a brain surgeon to figure out who contributed to his death. it wasnt ed couchs house either.
