I purchased an ointment called Devils Claw by a Tlingit woman in a shop in Icy Strait. She said it was great for back pain relief. After I got home from my vacation I looked up info on Devils Claw. Everything I found says it originates from Africa and the Kalahari Desert. How did it end up in Alaska? Does anyone know? I took it to be a local remedy that grew up there. Thanks in advance for any info.
