Crestview residents upset over annexation

As with many other residents of communities Kinston officials plan to annex, Raymond Crews of Crestview said he is worried about his ability to cover the higher costs of being a city resident.

I think annexation is an antiquated law, which is
only allowed in two states. I feel a person should have the right to choose where he/she lives.
I purchased in the county where I wanted to live
based on taxes & utilities. Kinston has nothing
to offer to enhance my well being. There are no
services in Kinston that I take advantage of.
If Kinston needs growth "revenue, population",
they should rebuild from within.
