How dare you compare cops to Jesus first of all, and second, the point is that Police in Waikiki focus on what gets the city paid, not what's right or wrong. All these rookies are just trying to fill their quotas of citations and tickets while wearing blinders that protect them from the real problems. Most of these boys and girls in blue are just posers trying to make a name for themselves. Jughead, you're either very naive or just a total idiot. I hope it's the former considering that the enforcement policies bend for certain people (i.e. tourists) and snap very strongly against others. I would hope that everyone is treated the same, but it's not always the case. Lets not forget about the nine brave cops that were needed in order to question the lone homeless woman minding her own business. |

Sounds like you're the one that's naive! I would say that anyone who believe's in Jesus, should compare himself to Him. Then we will know personally how much changes we need to make in our lives, because only He is perfect. No one else.
Not all cops in Waikiki are rookies. They are not posers, they are police officers, doing their job. |

I just had one of hpd's less than finest pull me over for speeding just past the pearl harbor exit west bound on H-1. I was trying to avoiding a lady in the fast lane not paying attention driving eradically playing with her pda or i-phone or whatever. I was in the next lane to her right so I changed to the next lane to my right, the 3rd lane from the left, sped up to about 65, passed the guy to my left and the unattentive lady in the fast lane and was crossing back to the far left/fast lane when robo bikecop decided to make a move and nail me. Nicely I tried to explain what just happened but it was a waste of breathe. He had his mind made up $$$ already. Again while he issued the ticket as I tried to explain the dangerous situation I was trying to avoid to which he replied that the real reason he stopped me was no signal lane change. B.S., the blinker stayed on until after he had already decided to come after me, he lied point blank. Then I see on the ticket itself where he had initially written maybe a 6 then wrote over it darker and made it a 7 to say I supposedly was doing 73 in a 55, again he lied. I know the game they play, 16-19 over the limit =more $$$ but no requirement to show up in court because it's less than 20 over. I will go to court and fight this garbage but once again I am reminded why I hate cops.

1 You have to go 31+ or over 80 for the mandatoty court appearance (excessive speeding). Good luck in court. |

Thanks, just goin' on what I was told. I'd like to issue them tickets for not going after real crime. These guys are such crooks, it just irks the pee outta me. I would love to know how many hpd and/or immediately family have been issued and paid traffic fines in the last year or five years? |
Everyone gets mad when they get one ticket, but we still need cops. Sure, I had a lot of bad experiences with some bad cops. One time, I was turning right, when this HPD car came out of a drive way non stop, and almost hit me. Guess what? They pull me over and act all big body to me when it was their fault for not stopping first when they came out of the driveway. I call them mokes in uniform. But, when I'm in trouble, I'm glad they're there. |

What profession is immune to corruption? I can't think of any. |

Satanism as a religion is by nature evil, hence cannot be corrupted. |

1 There's a lot of discussion on what constitutes "real crime" but when you consider the fact that 40,000 people die each year on our highways, traffic enforcement should be a priority. Officers are by no means perfect, but the only problem with expecting them to be perfect is you have to hire human beings. I've known officer's family members who have been cited and arrested for traffic violations but have no idea how you're going to find that type of data. As you've probably read in these forums, HPD arrested one of their own for DUI. Since none of the fines from citations goes to the police departments, traffic safety must be the reason for the continuing enforcement. Just keep in mind that your side of the story is heard in court and judges tend to be neutral. They consider the fact that you're taking the day off to fight the citation. |
