This sounds like slave labor from people in Ca.and also by the owners of the businesses. They should do time in jail as well. We need to procecute the people that are taking their money and giving false ID's. Thousands of dollars and they do not have to pay income tax. Sounds to me that the crooks are making easy money and laughing at our goverment.

Go after the employers. The immigrants are just working so they can send money back home.

The employer should pay the cost of transporting the illegal aliens to the mainland and should also be fined heavily.

If they investigate and the employer didn't withhold and/or pay the relevant taxes like social security, medicare, withheld federal and state income taxes, the employer should be charged with tax evasion.

Obviously, if the illegal aliens supplied the employer with false identification such as a social security numbers and the employer didn't withhold the proper taxes, it would be proof that the employer was aware that the workers were illegal aliens and was trying to rip off the government. The employer is responsible for paying 50% of the social security taxes and the employee pays for the other 50%.

"While I can sympathize with immigrants coming to America to find a better way of life, it shouldn't be done at the expense of local jobs and local people," Chock said."
Uh, right. Like local people want to work 50 hrs/wk for $9/hr and no overtime...

Now that you've caught the Hispanic grang, when are you going after the Filipino's, Chainese, Korean's, Canadians, Russians, Europeans, African's,Arabian's, etc. Not to mention the owners of these business's. They are the real cuplrits by hiring these illegals. Hang 'um high by taking their assets and taxing them till they cannot stand.

These cases always involve the investigation of wrongdoing by the employers. It looks like a no-brainer on the surface but the employers always say they did not know the illegal aliens were in fact illegal.

Are the employers driven by profits and greed? You bet but we have to prove they knew they were hiring illegal aliens. We may know they did based on common sense but proof is another matter.

But before people flame ICE for picking on "innocent" workers who "just want to make a living," first put yourself in the shoes of the American citizen who will spend the next 2-3 years and thousands of dollars repairing his/her credit/identity because their Social Security number and/or name has been stolen.

Go after the employers, but don't forget that those workers still are illegal workers. Workers who sneaked into the US, and knowingly brought fake residency documentation. They are not innocent!

For ANY illegals, no matter what race:
1. Jail the employers and let them pay for the deportation.
2. Deport them immediately - why waste the taxpayers' money to give them free food and housing.

If it can be proven that employers are not withholding and paying standard taxes on the employees; paying lower than standard salaries paid to other employees with similar jobs, and/or subcontracting jobs out to unlicensed businesses, the employers should be investigated for hiring illegals or for tax evasion. Take away the profit motive for hiring undocumented workers.
