If these pseudo hoods like to be tough, send them to the projects in the west/east coast. Charge them all as adults or show pictures of their parents who allowed them to be like they are. This is what happens when parents aren't allowed to hard discipline these kids without being charged for child abuse. I witnessed a child being punished at Ala Moana shopping center and the kid called 911 to report this. Kids are too well protected to respect the law and get off to easy.

Adult actions require adult consequences! Try them as adults! If the parents say they are good children than let them take the sentence for them. It's the parents responsibility to raise them! The buck has to stop somewhere.
your way of thinking shows us your limited knowledge and narrow minded affliction. please take your medications and go back to sleep. I am sick and tired of fools blaming the parents. granted that sometimes it is their fault, But its not usually the case.

Here is another example of a bone head who contradicts what he writes.” Charge them all as adults or show pictures of their parents who allowed them to be like they are." Then he says” This is what happens when parents aren't allowed to hard discipline these kids without being charged for child abuse. Thank you Howcum for being a double minded fool. Why is this numb scull blaming the parents then not blame the parents. Go figure

you shouldn't comment anything unless you know the whole story.
The victim probably had something to do with it.
police should also investigate his background. Just because his been shot that doesn't mean his off the hook. there's always a reason for everything.

I knew Kevin Khamsouk when we were younger, we were really close in elementary & in intermediate. We called him "Rambo." I can't believe I saw him on the news. I know his family, & I can't believe he took this road to negativity. I think it was because of the friends he chose to hang out with. He was a good & caring kid before. Then we lost touch. I'm really sorry for those victims, & I really am sorry for Rambo.

You are right. Friends you hang around with will lead lead you to whatever fields you want to choose. Parents should take a serious look at their kids' friends. These days a lot of things are coming out from TV, video games and internet. Kids are picking up all these stuff. Don't be contented with just knowing that your kids' friends can be trusted - you should also check the friends of your kids' friends.

I keep a 12 gauge shotgun and .40 cal handgun loaded and accessible at all times in my home. My wife and children are trained on the use of deadly force.
We refuse to be victims.
The real "serious issue" is what they will do to you if you ever pull the trigger. This is Hawaii, where you are supposed to call 911 and wait a couple of hours. The only people that are allowed to defend themselves and their families with firearms are the same police that don't want you to have a gun.

Did anyone say Lapitan is off the hook? I didn't hear that. Neighbors said he was involved in gang activity, although family denied that.

these boys were born here in American...get your facts straight. I know the boys and they had a terrible childhood always surrounded by bad influences. what is hard labor going to do for them? NOTHING.

NICHOLAS NICHOLS...

He was involved in the Aliamanu home invasion which got Kevin Khamsouk charged with 12 counts...

AND

He was the alleged driver in the freeway shooting which got Joshua Gonda charged with 5 counts...

On both occassions, he was never charged with anything? WTF
