Their target was a 36-year-old firefighter stationed in Waikiki, who has been with HFD for seven years. On the same day, federal agents went to the firefighter's apartment at Marin Tower with another search warrant. He was home and that is where the agents recovered other things, according to his lawyer. Hey hey hey...the fire fighter should be investigated for living at marin tower...with his fireman salary how did he qualify to live in that section 8 housing building????

I bet if this guy was HPD his name would be smeared all over the news and the papers, but because he is HFD nobody really says anything! Many firefighters are arrested but the news says not one word about their arrest, but if it is a police officer total different story. Just my obeservation.

That's probably because Cops carry guns and have the powers of arrest, so they should be held to a higher standard than other city employees. Also, people like firefighters because when they come to your house, they come to save you, whereas the police may be coming to your house to arrest you. It's just human nature. Too bad. Both organizations have unenviable jobs and see some of the worse things life has to offer.

Everybody LOVES firefighters! They're strong, brave, and muscular! And cops? Not so much. A lot of them are full of themselves. They think the law only applies to others, therefore they have more of a tendency to be corrupt. It's easier to overlook flaws in firefighters. Not that it's right--it's just the way it is.
