To the Chevy/Toyota dealer, only because he's a relative. NO car is better than any other, so don't let the Brand Name sway you. The last car I bought was an Isuzu Rodeo made by Subaru, for Suzuki. It had a body made by Chevy, and was also sold as a Honda Passport. The engine was made by Vauxhall, and old company in England.

Couldn't read the article you posted, but I have a Jeep with a Japanese engine and a French transmission, a Chevy made in Mexico with Israeli electronics, and 2 Plymouths made in Canada, and they are all trouble-free cars for the most part. No brand is any better than any other, and today you can't tell where a car is built anyways. My next purchase this year will be a Toyota because the wife wants one. If I am paying for it, it will be a Ford because they rejected the Obama bail-out. You can always buy a Nissan, a good FRENCH car.

I've heard that, but it has never been my experience. If the car is popular you never get a deal no matter what, and all have a set amount they get for any model, no matter what it looks like to you on paper.

BUY "LEAVING ISLAND" cars advertised in the paper. A guy I know got a brand new BMW for half price, a few months old. Do your homework though, make sure it is legal, legit, etc. Get it checked out.

LOL, I know a guy that has been selling,"Leaving Island" cars for almost thirty years. He's not ripping people off, he just uses that saying to get them to look at his cars. He actually gives good deal. He also knocks off a lot of money for military people.

The guy I know got a 35,000 BMW for 16K ...sounds like you could run that ad, buy cars that way and re-advertise them higher. Lots of room to make a profit when a don't-wanter needs to dump it fast.

He's lucky he got a good deal. There is nothing harder to sell than a used luxury car. My friend has three Mercedes convertibles that he's had for sale for at least a couple of years. He'll lose money when they eventually sell, and I know he's already put thousands into bringing them back up.
