Hawaii has major problems with its air. Get ready to lose tourists when word of this gets out. It could last many years.

Well it only lasted three weeks the last time it went off in the 1920's. Who knows. I was right next to the crater yesterday and there were MANY visitors-more than usual.

Health food stores out here sell (out of) vog relief tea, which works really well.

Cilantro is also said to release any heavy meatls that may have accumulated in the body. We always hear about t he gases but t he metals can be dangerous at certian levels.

No, the air is worse than LA. Word of this will get out and fewer visitors will come. Hawaii is in a lot of torouble with poor economy and lousy leadership.

well..I am right and you know it. Don't hide behind false respectibility or denial. Hawaii is in deep trouble and you have no leaders in sight. You do have some phony "queen" at the Iolani palace barking out orders to her 4 overweight followers.

The air is NOT worse than LA. Have you ever been there? Vog and smog consist of different gases and have different sources. Hello. Word of this got out on the mainland before it did here, anyway.

BTW, we are supposed to have civil servants not leaders.

And..our economy is slightly better here than on the mainland for now at least-but that is what we are talking about.

Ditto Cutchase.

Unlike L.A. we have to live with such vog for a week at a time. If that!!!

L.A. has to live with it "EVERYDAY!" "All the Time"

It's unfortunate but unlike L.A., our problem with this is the result of mother nature. The Tourists will still come to Hawaii.

Oh yeah, suggestions: Stay indoors if you can at all help it. Put the Air Cleaner on if you have one. And as much as I don't really like to use it. It helps to have an A/C especially in these kinds of situations. Again, it's just temporary. The skies will clear up soon. Then we can all breathe easy.

FINALLY! Vog Relief in a homeopathic tablet.

One unfortunate byproduct of visiting the Hawaiian islands is "Vog," or volcanic smog. Vog is created when toxic sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions mix with oxygen and atmospheric moisture. The effect is a thick cloud of vog filled with a mass of tiny particles, or particulates, that may include ash, smoke, sulfates, ammonia and various or trace amounts of SO2. Vog exemplifies symptoms - coughing, watery eyes, breathing difficulty, nasal discharge - in individuals with compromised immunity as well as those with allergies in general. However, any individual can suffer the effects of volcanic smog, or vog, regardless of his/her level of fitness as the particulates that enter the lungs can affect any person.

You will not find this product any where else. VOGRelief (tm) is a proprietary, homeopathic remedy that minimizes the effects of volcanic smog. Commercially available for the first time and produced with strict quality guidelines, VOGRelief (tm) is ideal for all travelers to Hawaii. Since you have invested in your holiday in paradise in Hawaii, prevent the effects of volcanic smog as its effects (sneezing, sore throat, wheeziness, watery eyes, coughing, fatigue, runny nose, headaches, blurred vision) will certanly put a damper on your ability to enjoy your vacation.
